Cannon Man
This game is no where near completion, this is mostly a proof of concept. The concept being that I can make ok games. This demo has bad graphics, it's a demo, I'll fix em later. The things I focused on were physics, controls, and enemy design. I put together a level to demonstrate things like spike pits, gravity traps, health items, destructable blocks, and a variety of enemies. The point of the game is fly around using a cannon, killing enemies, and reaching the goal. It is labled "GOAL". If you get stuck in a block, wait a second, you'll pop back out. You may think that's bad collision detection, I think that if you really ran into the ground at high speed with a heavy cannon you'd more than likely get stuck. If you finish the game, tell me, because not even I have been able to beat it so far. Please send comments, I would like to know if I am taking this in the right direction.
Oh, by the way, you need registered Game Maker to play this. Is anyone still not registered?
