Great gameplay ideas, I love the way you let us climb up any walls. The particle effects and platforming engine were pretty weak, but overall it was great. Especially the player sprite.
Really wish I had a sterile enviroment, and a few guns. Then I could make proper sounds. Although I guess looking on the Net's the closest I'm going to get...
Platforming engine's a bit weak, you say? I thought so. That engine is built on the EoE one, which had flaws. I'm going to have to overhaul it one of these days.
Climbing up walls made the collisions pretty weak, but I liked the basis of it, were there improvements. Could of used some transition on the breaking things too
@serprex: Mm, you're right. When I overhaul the engine I'll fix those accursed climbing bugs. And I'll talk to ESA about getting some transitions for the breaking blocks.
@Mat: Yes, it is similar to the platform tutorial on YYG, what with the default gravity variable and all that. I'm planning to see what I can steal learn from Edmunn's engine to fix problems like that head-bashing one (jump into the ceiling to see what I mean.).
Screw gravity, use px/px Get 7zip and unpack O.7z, it has a collection of my sources. If you can decipher mono8's code, you'll be able to scrap up a highly extensible engine that will require constant tweaking to maintain
