Unity Pong example
This is a simple example of the classic game Pong remade using Unity.

It includes a small pdf file with some explanation, all of the code is commented so that you should be able to follow it along. Some basic understanding of Unity is assumed, but if you have never used Unity before it still shouldn't be that hard to follow.

It includes some older versions so you can see the progression as I made this game.

If you do not have Unity installed and simply want to play the game, you can find it here.

If you want it compiled for Windows, click here.

If you want it compiled for Mac, click here.

Enjoy! :)

This is honestly one of the most amazing examples I've ever seen in my entire life. 10/10

This makes me want to get back into game developing.

In fact, I think I will. I really should try out this "Unity" thing, it's created some pretty awesome looking stuff.

Nice & smooth, the only problem I see is that after a few volleys, the ball is hit by the bat, and then bounces off the corner of the wall, going out, making it impossible to get back to the other player.

(I don't know if I explained that too well)

unity looks interesting, but they showcase these complex 3D environments which I doubt id ever be able to do.

but playing in the browser is really good. good job on the example

marbs you're a legend. :)

Been wanting to try out Unity, but was immediately confused by the apparent complexity and 3D-ness of it when I first opened it up...

I heard about Unity, only checked it out today, and I was pretty impressed. I'll give it a shot.

The example is great, and is an excellent way to teach people how to use Unity.
