Tetris
Tetris. If you don't know what it is, please resume living on your island in the middle of nowhere, eating coconuts.

Or Google it.

CONTROLS:
Left/Right - Move piece
Up - Rotate Piece
Down - Drop piece
Escape - Return to main menu (In game) or exit (In menu)
M - Change Music in game

Target platforms:

It works nicely enough, but it's missing important features like seeing the next piece and being able to rotate in both directions.

Extremely boring for not being an example or original. There were also a few issues:
sometimes the peice would not rotate next to peices already placed, and
droping the peice is nice, but threres no key to slam the peice down.

Aside from that, I would state what youre trying to accomplish from uploading this, cause theres plenty of fun tetris games on the internet to play ;) But it does work at least decently, I just dont want to play this one to be honest.

Awesome!
I agree with these guy about the missing features, but this was cool.
It made me feel like a kid again...for three minutes.
After I lost, I cursed you and your game for being "cool and simple" then I tried to kill everyone on my block.
I don't know what you did to that game, but do you have anymore?

I noticed the missing features after playing GB Tetris again. I might add them, and fix that rotation bug... soon.

Anyways, the reason I made this? I'm "De-making" some classics, as suggested by my Game Development books, something I only ever did with Breakout, but never Tetris.
As for not being original, it's not supposed to be. If I spend valuable time making somebody elses original idea look like my own original idea I'll never make anything original myself.

"de-making" eh? lol it seems tons of people have done that... let's see, i de-maked: Snafu, Astrosmash, Pacman, Zelda, Sonic, Megaman and yes, even Tetris lol. i'm sure there are others i forgot. i didn't upload ANY of these though, seeing as they're not really my games :P besides half of them failed lol.

nice work on this one though, Tetris was one of the ones i could barely get working, movement was fine, even rotating but getting them to lock up and remove a line, i had difficulties with. of course it's been a long time since than...

Another word for De-making is "Fanmade" kids.

The reason i said its not original is because you didnt say something to the effect that you were trying to re-create some classics.

Just letting you know how I interpretted your submission ;)
