that was incredibly difficult. not much for me to say here, except for two moderately-sized flaws that i feel need addressing.
the room is kind of small, this sometimes makes it feel that there isn't enough room to move, and it's one of the only two real reasons why this game is difficult. there should be a bit more space, everytime i died, it didn't really feel like it was completely my fault that i died. the second flaw is that you can't jump through the rockets from below. the only way you could get on top of a rocket is by jumping to the side to get to the top, which sometimes leads to the player into running into other rockets and dying and due to the small room, this makes the problem even worse. i understand the game is supposed to be difficult, but these feel like cheap ways to make the game hard. oh, and one more small problem,(this may be a glitch or bug) i could've sworn I saw the laser go through the rockets one or two times while playing. other than that, it was pretty good, well polished and pretty fun. but in all honesty, it doesn't seem like a game i'd play again after today. Overall 7.6/10 (8/10)
Yes, the game is hard, I've been told that a lot... but so far, you're the first person to say anything about the room being to short widthwise... maybe it's just a pet peeve of yours? I dunno, maybe I've just gotten used to it.
You can't jump through rockets because that's the way the game has always been, it's not that much of a problem if you freeze rockets in good positions. A lot of this game involves strategy. You can't just freeze rockets wherever you happen to see them or you're likely to get stuck. It's a good idea to keep as close to the center of the screen as possible. However, if more people complain about the room being to small, I can probably change that easily. Also, I don't think the lasers go through rockets... I'll check. Thanks for playing btw :)
Its not that the room is short width-wise necessarily, but it can help the problem.
The problem is that shooting missles makes platforms, but also barriers. It makes it hard to avoid astroids, because not only does it make cover, but also a barrier that you cant jump through. Because of this, either you cant advance, or other missles may hit you. It is also sometimes irritating when you cant shoot missles at a split second. Like if youre too close to a missle, it may kill you before you get the laser to hit it. Cool game, but could use some improvement to make it more fun. ;)
It's a pretty cool game, but it's arcade so there isn't really much playtime except if you want to be nr 1 and keep trying. The game stays the same except if you are higher, but my highest was somewhere around 130 points. The game is difficult so you have to keep trying to get higher. I won't play this game after today, or maybe one time when I forget about this game and try it out. I like games with multiple levels more.
Note: I'm not going to make it so you can jump up through frozen rockets. Somehow it feels like it would be weird.
Game updated to V 1.2 2 new modes have been added, "grapzap" mode, and "red and showers" mode. Grapzap mode may be fun for those of you who want to play the game at a lesser difficulty. Easy mode has been made slightly easier, the red arrow warning for when a rocket is coming warns you sooner, meteorite showers come slightly less often. Erm... have you ever thought about freezing the rocket slightly to the right side of the one you're standing on? Example Image: http://i.imgur.com/FV2F4.png
