Space Surfers
Space Surfers is a side-scroller where you control a Space soldier, equipped with a flying surfboard and should survive as long as possible in the middle of the enemy territory, accumulating the most possible of points. something like a mix of River Raid (Atari) and Contra (NES).

In addition to the standard weapon (with infinite ammo), there's more two temporary items that can be found in the scenario. The player loses when he lost the five initial lives (without the possibility of getting more lives during the game). The highest score achieved in the game is stored in the main menu. (please read the "read-me.txt" file for instructions)

I already like this.

Oh man I suck at this. You see that main screenshot you posted with the game? Yeah pretty much every time that situation happens I mess up because I can't balance the idea that I need to slowly fall and shoot at the same time. It's probably just me but either way this is well done, looks nice, sounds nice, and plays nice (if not a little relentless). 7/10

I liked the whole 'surfing in space' idea.

The control scheme wasn't very user friendly in my opinion. I believe the controls would have been better suited to a keyboard, but that's just my preference. I just felt really awkward controlling the player while trying to shoot the enemies.

Apart from the awkward control scheme it still plays solidly and where it not for the control scheme I would love it as a pass time arcade game. I particularly liked the NES styled graphics.
