Some bugs I haven't mentioned: some of the doors in level 3 are transparent (you can walk through them without opening them), and I managed to get completely out of map in level 4 (a section of the wall was missing in one area). Also, starting a new game after beating it once made me start with all the runes and the messed up XP bar.
Quote here's a screenshot of what it looks like Oh god, that's horrible. Mine didn't do that. 8/10 Okay so this game is awesome. It's pretty hard though; I got to a point after fighting the mecha bird thing where I kept dying and there wasn't much I could do differently, unfortunately that tends to be the nature with games like this. Gameplay-wise, it's great, if I had to explain it simply, "Arena, if Arena was fun and pretty." Which brings me to the graphics; I like them. Which brings me to bugs/suggestions; I was getting a bug with your occlusion that seemed to be occluding objects that were directly to my left but still within my peripheral vision, I didn't have the any problems with the right side though. The cooldown between attacking is kind of annoying, I think it'd be better to attack faster for less damage. I couldn't figure out what to do with mana, or the ice rune, I thought they went together somehow but I couldn't make it work. Final point; Variable Sensitivity? :D Quote The readme tells you how to use Runes and the Staff. Hit '3' to select the staff, select your desired Rune with Q and E, then fire when ready. The readme does not state that you need to hit 3, or 2 or 1 to select anything. In fact, it says that wasd, space, qe f and enter are ALL the controls you need...
Haha, you weren't kidding about nostalgia. =D
Right off the bat, though, I found that a lot of models were stretched out. Here's a screenshot. Note the stretched enemy and health vials. I have an external Radeon 7850 (ASUS) for a video card. I don't know what more I can really tell ya'. I couldn't figure out how to switch to my staff before reading the comments. I recomend adding it to the help/readme. =P The slow sword thing was frustrating, but when I read that you can increase the attack speed by leveling up, I kept at it, and it felt really good when it sped up. On the plus side of things, it wasn't a bad game. It was a bit difficult with the wonked graphics, but enjoyable enough to keep trying after dying several times. Good effort for a month and a half!
OK figured out how to load custom levels now. Though i got the weirdest results lol. The grass tile turned completely white/transparent while in-game. Also all the objects were on the floor and stretched downward as far as the eye can see. even the pillars did. nothing was built upward like a wall should be. Not sure what i did wrong o_o

- all of the images for the enemies and items (the 2d elements) aren't drawing correctly. they seem to stretch out of the level. most of them i can't even see at all. (making playing the game very difficult since i can barely see the enemies. here's a screenshot of what it looks like)
- Music/Sound can go over 200? what does this mean?
- Many blocks around me seem to not be rendering.
- the keys A, D do not strafe correctly. It just kinda slowly moves diagonally instead it should be moving me to my left/right.
Other stuff:
- Sword attack doesn't look like much of an attack and has a huge delay between attacks.
- the help screen is a overly long way of telling the controls. (read me works better)
Overall:
well i couldn't get passed the first level because i could barely see the enemies and some halls had huge sprite stretching covering most of my visibility. The sword didn't seem to be a good enough weapon to kill some of the more powerful enemies either. I read you have a staff but couldn't figure out if i could use it or not. I would like to play this the way it was originally intended up i can hardly see anything =(
