My Ludum Dare 24 entry. I thought I may as well post it here.

Move around and eat stuff to evolve, evolving unlocks different areas depending on your choices.

It didn't work for you?
Did you press space?
It says at the bottom to press space, but depending on your resolution it may not display on the screen.
You can use 1,2,3 and 4 to change the scaling and F toggles fullscreen.

Ah, alright, I got this puppy working now. It was just scaled where I couldn't see the text.

Awesome creature designs, I felt like a total badass when I reached the final form of my dude. Would've been nice to see more enemies/combat, I was always pumped to rip into the next thing I saw when I evolved and then the game was like "wall enemies, dude." I pretty much played just to see what I evolved into next.

A cool song, nice graphics and a good overall ambiance from the combination of the two makes up for a lot though. 8/10

I was originally planning to include two enemies for each area, except the hub and the boss area. With effectively 6 total enemies and 1 boss, but time man, time.

I need to know how the heck does one make something like this in two days?
Because I like it.
There's something about the artwork that's unsettling at first but I can't even put my finger on it.

I have a timelapse of the first 30 minutes, and the second day, if you're interested. The rest of the first day wasn't recorded because Chronolapse didn't want to cooperate.

Woah this turned out really well. Damn spikes ^^ It's interesting in that it is so basic yet so solid. Water physics was ok but could maybe have been more fluid. Like with less gravity and friction. There were other minor things that had room for improvement movement wise but whatever ^^
Nice one. Made we want to play more.

Cool game, I really loved the creature designs as well. but, I didn't have time to finish it, so I exited and now I have to start over. I played it for a decent amount of time though, I evolved around 3 or 4 times before I quit.

nice job. 8/10

I won the game in all the evolutions possible, are there secrets Charlie? I really wish there were some, or more things to do.

Nope! I can't stand to even look at this game after Ludum Dare.
So much tedious work pushed into such a small time frame has led me to completely dreading seeing this even pop up on the home page. Plus, even if I added to it, I don't know what I would add. The idea was incredibly simple and its already come full circle.

I did want to keep playing to see the evolutions, but after evolving once and having food things scattered around from not being thorough it got kinda tedious. Great art though, I love the eye in the background.
