This is an update on my gestures-based platformer. I've added a couple new spells and some torches to show environment interaction.

Also, there is an example of my speech bubble engine in there. Press/hold space for it and more instructions.

Controls:
WASD move
Click/hold left mouse: gestures
Press/hold space: instructions

Really cool, I look forward to see this with gameplay! Really creative way to cast spells. The idea I didn't think would be all that good until i actually tried it!

Some odd stuff happened.
When I was on a higher platform dragging down made a fireball.
On the same platform dragging up made lightning.

Oh and put the arms snapping to the body code in the end step event, it doesnt make it lag.

Nice job so far.

TG EDIT:
The arm snapping to the body is already in the step event =P

Whoa, the gestures stuff is really cool! I'd be curious to see what a sweeping motion would do... *hint hint*

Pretty cool. I like the concept. I dunno if it was just me, but it was kinda hard to do the lighting.

Yeah it has to go in the end step because that event takes place after the object drawing occurs.

Pretty basic, and you probably want to have the direction check based on the place where the mouse clicked. This idea has potential though.
