Made in only 4 hours.

Tolerance is an abstract, arcade shooter using a pseudo-3D concept. This entire game was made in under 4 hours, as my personal "time trial challenge". In it, you fire against incoming projectiles and attempt to survive as long as possible. Try to beat my own highscore!

Wow! That was incredible! It was extremely fast paced, and magnificent! Especially for an unregistered game! It could use a tutorial though

Awsome. Great graphics but a cross hair would have been nice.

1254 was my score. The game was really nice. Did you use any sprites? It didn't look like it. A crosshair would have been nice, as Theonlywonderboy said, and a larger variety of enemies would also have brought the rating up. Still, professional in appearence and very fun.

Wow, this game is better received that I thought it could be. That's awesome. Thanks for the comments, guys.

Haha. Yeah. Nowadays, people seem to be abusing the "blend" function, even if they often disrupt the "graphical unity" of the game.

I want to avoid the use of sprites as much as possible (meaning that I'd rather use draw functions - to keep it simple) and I ran out of the time.

Only one - the "explosion" effect.

You can slap together a crosshair using draw functions really easily.

Sure, but like I said, the whole point of this game is to have it made within 4 hours. Going over that defeats the point, doesn't it? :)

Won't it take just 5 minutes? Yes, but only if the game was carefully planned out before. I didn't just program the game in 4 hours. I designed and planned it in 4 hours. Moreover, trying to work as fast as possible, I used "mouse_x" and "mouse_y" variables. The draw-object for the cursor can follow that every step, but the FPS-slowdown feature will create an ugly lag on the mouse cursor.

Oh well, it ain't a big deal. I'm glad that a few people liked it. For a 4-hour project, I'm way more than satisfied. :)

I have something bigger to deal with anyway, like the card game I'm still working on.
