Replay Example Version 3!
<b>Replay Engine V3</b> This engine is used to replay what the player did (currently only sprite and position changes). It can be used in any game, including a platformer (pretty cool). Depending on the game, you may have to make it record things such as direction or image_angle for certain...
Particle Effects Browser
I've been working on a program where you can control all the simple particles, like rain, snow, explosions, and smoke. You can also control the color and size of each effect. With the right mouse button can you create an effect. And further; simply have fun! Note: you need the registred...
Map Creator from .gif
Another fine example from the TheMan factory. This program, inspired by a game by Dex, loads an entire 640 x 480 level from a tiny 40 x 30 file! It's easy to implement - execute a few scripts to declare object-to-colour links and then load up the image. This does NOT require GM6 registered as...
Node Based Pathfinder
This is a new pathfinding system that I have been thinking alot about lately. Today, I finally had some time to make it, and the result was perfect. It's not quite complete: I still have to implement avoidance of moving objects. Nevertheless, it's extremely fast and accurate. Hope you enjoy.
Fog of War
This example probably looks simple, but is useful for people making an RTS. Probably needs some changes, but I just made this to show how it works, the rest is in your hands. Made without registered features UPDATE: This is old and slow. You should be crazy if you are thinking on actually...
Well, I figured that since I havn't contributed doodly squat to the site (except, of course, for building it. =P) that I should probably add SOMETHING. So I fixed up, and commented a graphing program that I made for my "introduction to calculus" course a while back. It's really basic. You just...
Current Time Shown With Sprites
This is an example, which shows the current date, month, year and the current hour, minute and second not only with the string functions, but also showing sprites instead of text.. The example supports years from 1899 to 2099.. I'l enjoy some feedback and bug reports!
Sonic Movement Engine
Here I present somthing that is impossible to come by (as of my last search), an editable, usable Sonic Movement Engine. It includes comments for just about every line of code, and shows how to make Sonic (or other characters) move around on non-flat surfaces. It introduces simple edge...
Here's another "usefull" example :D What this does is it prevent's sprites from getting stuck in walls by moving away from them. If they can't move away they don't change. (Don't be fooled by the screenshot this isn't super fast.. so use with care as I've heard mentioned somewhere ;))
Terrific Particle Explosions
Create the most spectacular, realistic explosions at little FPS cost! Fully and easily modifiable. Completely done in code! Here's a (zipped) exe of it for the unregistered: <a href="http://www.64digits.com/users/flashback/particle_explosion.zip">linkage</A> it's 962kb
'Real' Water Effects
A 'simple' way to create water effect in your game. Not everything is explained, but experienced users should be able to figure out the code and what it does. The example includes 2 pools that overflow, 1 pool that grows until it fills the screen, and a spout that can be turned on or...
A backdrop is a new way of putting backgrounds in a room. With a backdrop you can easily make scrolling backgrounds that can fit into any room. Aditionally, you can use them as a foreground, and can have many layers. This example explains every line of code so that it can easily be implemented...
This is a random terrain generator made by request for NetCept. It uses some kind of Sine Cosine equation with random coefficients to make hills. I didn't write the equation, though. I just figured out how it worked. The rest is mine, however. There are two files. The first uses surfaces, so...
