Platformer Stairs
This examples shows a good method to incorporate stairs into a platformer game with neat climbing and good collisions. With the option to add stairs as individual blocks or parse the stairs from one stair object it also makes the level design much easier.

The file is fully commented, though some parts of it may be difficult for beginners to understand.

The collision engine used is from the platform collisions in the novice FAQ.

Works really well, but there is no place for it in my game.

Also. you could give some info on how it works lol. cos there are more green squares in-game than there is on game maker.

That is because some of those are stair parser objects which create stairs for you.. information on using these is given in the parser object creation event.
