Pokémon Lost Silver
Any comments are appreciated :) and thank you all who have followed the project up to this point~! Without all your support I could have never finished. Credits to Kami for the Celebi sprites, to Hell for the Pikachu sprite, as well as every spriter on the /vp/ boards (who's art is included with the game) It is *highly* recommended you read the story (named lostsilver_final.txt) that is included with the download before playing the game, as to not go "wtf" when playing. It also serves as a walk-through. Youtube playthrough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKnCBwsa-bU Yoyogames: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/142930-pok%C3%A9mon-lost-silver Target platforms:

It's cool, I'm not looking for ratings anyways :P (I can't really get rated on a story I did not do) it's mainly just to have a project page on it. And yes, I did copypaste that from youtube, and I thought about deleting that last line regarding the homebrew part but I decided against it as there's no really a point...
Thanks for the review! :D
Someone brought the story this is based on up on Escapist, so i posted a link. i'd like to pretend your triple-digit views are somehow my doing, but regardless they may also be why you have three digits there and eight comments. So you're welcome and sorry, at the same time, or something.
I didn't read the story before playing which made it pretty annoying and pointless, but once I actually read the thing it synced up pretty nice. You did a good job recreating the experience, so kudos for that. Kind of confused as to why you wanted us to read the story at first, basically the story writes out what you do in this "game." At first I thought the story was supposed to be a backstory, and a cool one too, I enjoyed reading it. Once I started the game and realized that I would get to experience it myself I got pretty freaking excited, but on the other hand I was also sad that I know what was going to happen and kinda wished that you would just leave it to us to find out what to do. Then again I may have been lost without it, I don't know, I didn't get the chance, but I just feel like I sat down to read a story that wasn't necessary except to find a deeper meaning at the end of the game (if that's what you were going for...)
This felt more like an experience than a game really, like those other artsy games that you find out there in the indi world. Definitely worth the play through for everyone who has played pokemon (everyone), but I wish it could have been better executed so that I wouldn't have to read such a long story about what I about to do in the game. 8/10
Rather short too, kinda wish there was more to explore, but I won't mark you off for that.
