I don't like anime or bullet hell games (so the title made me facepalm) all that much but this was really well done. It tested my patience but also made me want to get better at it like any good game. It's a little disappointing to me that the graphics are so nice but they're surrounded by big glowy bullets half the time but that's just a part of the genre.
8/10 because although it was done well, it lacked in variety Quote: Taizen Chisou I liked it. It was pretty nice, if a bit taxing what with the unwieldy control scheme. Also, I was horrid at heat mechanic, but that was just me >_> It had pretty amazing music, though :D I would've made it play more like Touhou, but Elemaiden ended up looking and playing too much like a Touhou clone.
I actually was able to see it through to the end, thanks to the fact that you can't get a Game Over... at least on Novice difficulty. lol
I honestly don't see how avoiding some of that stuff is even possible... especially the Hellhound, where the gaps in between the bullets that fill the screen are smaller than Sayuri, for crying out loud! But anyway, it was fairly enjoyable. The only criticism I have is that some of the music is pretty awful. 7/10 |
