The Rapid Development Competition, which I happen to be running at the moment (I'm nuts).

The competition is held every Saturday at 8PM GMT.

Basically, the rules go as follows:

>You join the #rdc channel on SlashNET.

>You have to use GM7/GM4MAC/GM8

>You have to beat the stuffing out of …

Boring Boredom Blog

Posted by Mega on Nov. 15, 2010, 8:32 a.m.

Say that 10 times really fast.

So while struck by boredom (Not today, yesterday) I drew these. I was bored enough today to post them now.

And some random text to stop the images from being put together.

And here's a whitespace filler. Now complain.

Flooding mines is fun.

And no, this isn't a Minecraft blog.

It's a new game I'm making, which I restarted yesterday and made great headway with.

Techdemo is HERE

For the lazy, a screenshot will suffice:

The controls are simple. X to jump, V to examine/use the door. More to come.

Mega double-flips onto the Bandwagon

If you're going to bother doing something, do it in style.

I couldn't resist taking some photos with my absolutely terrible cellphone camera (Much worse than Sinistrade's)

It only takes at a resolution of 640x480, in JPG format.

Anyway:

I left my desk in it's used state. If you can't …

Mecha-dragon of doom and Missiles!

Posted by Mega on Nov. 1, 2010, 6:14 a.m.

First, some art. I drew this in stages for about four days.

Much coffee was consumed, and many backup-copies were made.

Besides that, I have updated CyCore somewhat. It now has missiles, better bombs, instant-death-spikes, indestructible turrets, the ability to die and a load of annoying tutorial messages. Enjoy.

Wailing Midnight Banshee

Posted by Mega on Oct. 25, 2010, 8:41 a.m.

So, last night I was up late as usual. I was at the PC doing what I usually do (Game-making, spriting, etc). when I heard this noise like a wailing screech and my computer was starting to lag terribly. It was my secondary HDD (The one with Windows on it) …

GMK Handout

Since everybody (Meaning Cyrus and Kilin) are uploading demos, I thought I'd do the same.

First on the list is a Megaman fangame framework that I made in 2 hours, out of boredom. You can have the GMK.

Secondly, an old Megaman fangame I never finished. You can also …

GBA coding, un-intended rants, etc.

OK, first things first. Yes, I can code for the GBA. It's not that hard. Secondly, I don't have much time. I'm kinda banned from the ADSL for 2 weeks for using up 3gb of our 5gb data cap.

Thirdly: http://64digits.com/users/Mega/GBA_Coding_1.pdf

That… is something interesting I wrote. Please disregard anything …

ATTENTION CAUGHT. REDIRECTING EYEBALLS.

(Embedded Video)

The first game in that video is the one I'm working on at the moment, besides the Halloween game for Rez' contest. Not that I expect to finish it in time for the deadline, but I'll make it anyway.

And if you didn't bother …

Dots! Minecraft! IRC...

Posted by Mega on Sept. 19, 2010, 3:08 a.m.

OK, I was playing around with that game concept, and I managed to remove the dots easily while making a seamless outline around the solid-ground. Thanks to GMFreak for the code.

So… Dots done… Minecraft! Yeah, I got the 'free-weekend' version, courtesy of bogged down servers, and was lost for …
