Game: Piece 1

- for RPG4D, if I finish in time (but probably not, so for sometime after that perharps)

Looking to make a small-ish game to explain part of the story, because global conspiracies take too long.

So here, have some Blender things VVV

Demolitions expert (Japanese girl who likes blowing stuff up):

Mesh mostly done I guess, still have to rig / UV texture (and merge the head with the body mesh)

Speaking of which, head detail image because that thing took so long to make:

AK-74M:

Very WIP mesh (fortunately rigging shouldn't be complicated)

Feedback appreckyated. :U

That's racist, Qwilderwibben.

Wow, you made that in blender? Kudos!

(I hate blender, Modo ftw)

I need to figure out how to do proper head modeling with eye loops and all that.

@Juurian: Yep, Blender.

It's the only 3d program I've really stuck with. Always disliked programs like Maya and 3ds Max because of the price tag, anyway.

@Purianite: This is actually the first head/face modeling I've done - I just imported a lowpoly game character model I came across online into another layer and then referenced that continuously while constructing my own character. Dunno if that's the right way to learn it, but it kind of worked I guess. :p

I just learned how to use Blender this week, so that face is extremely intimidating to me. Nice work though.

I hadn't considered the racial element until after I hit the post button, and then I decided to leave it because I thought it was kinda funny.

Besides, everyone's a little bit racist.

I like Anim8tor myself because I don't need the frills.

Man, I haven't thought about that program in years. How is it doing now? Does it have more features and a nicer interface?

colseed 11 years, 8 months ago

@Zac: Blender does take some getting used to, heh. Thanks!

@Qwilder: wat

@fenyx: "No frills" makes me think of entering in 3d coordinates by hand in a command line for some reason…whatever works is good though.

@LAR: It actually did get a rather nice interface overhaul in the 2.5 series (current version is around 2.63). Plus a bunch of things were reprogrammed so everything is Python-based, makes modifying things easier I think. They keep adding features so fast I can't keep track of them all though lol

She could probably use a number of changes in proportions, yeah. I based the model off a scanned drawing, and the image was tilted about 3 degrees to the left, so things came out a bit strange..

also bulletproof vest

and i still have to add hair blargh

Any specific places I should be looking at, you think?
