Web design.. Can someone set it up?
Posted on March 13, 2008 at 22:47

Hey guys, recently I've been working on some random stuff for Lex.. Enemies, tiles, backgrounds, etc. I mainly wanted to work on a dev-blog for it, and I came up with this layout.

I'd like to know if there are any web-designers that can bring this design to life. If you are and want to help, please send me a PM and I'll give you more details.

C&C on the design would also be appreciated.

Depends. If it's PHP-powered, I can't do it.

You have so much wasted space in the layout.

JakeX: Yep, that's how I want it to be. There'll be a big background though.

Kilin: I'm not good with web-design, so I have no idea what's the best way to do it. I basically want 4 things.

-Ability to post a blog entry(Me only)
-Someone can comment my blog entries
-3 latest blog entries shown on first page
-A page with a history of blog pages

The "someone can comment" uses a simple GET POST thing, but if you want registered users and such, I'm having trouble with that.

Oh dear lordy, think of the security risks.

If you want as well, why not put in a lil image viewer page? I've got one and RawrSpoon loves it (I think he even fapped to it)

Eh, all I want is people to comment. Maybe 3 boxes, one that saves the username, one that saves the e-mail of poster(optional) and one that has the actual comment(Should be much bigger than other 2)

try making a wordpress theme. those are pretty easy.
I could definitely do something custom for you if you can't figure it out yourself though. ^_^

Brod-For your first website, don't include a blogging feature. Even if it's just for you, it requires MySQL and PHP. If you are unfamiliar with those terms, just learn HTML and CSS for now.

@basil: Well, I need a blogging feature. How else am I going post updates and get comments on them? I mean, relying on other sites can get quite annoying, I'd much rather have my own to moderate and get comments quickly and easily.
