This is one of the things I never understood in this site: people post a blog with one image, and then comments usually consist of someone saying 'no', more pony pictures and weird videos. And then they call it 'content'.

I don't understand, but apparently I'm not supposed to.

If I made a blog like this, I would be called an attention whore ten times over. I don't see why this doesn't apply to everyone. I've honestly been too scared to post low content blogs like this.

Meanwhile the high content blogs I write get completely ignored. I know I'm not the only member who has experienced this.

edit: fuck you Cyrus.

It's not about length (an entire novel can be contentless), it's about how relevant and interesting the content is to the users.

A single, well-placed stupid image (especially from a well-respected member who hasn't posted a blog in eight years) can make someone's day and be more important to them than a weekly extensive ten paragraph report on something that nobody here cares about. Sucks, but that's life.

On enforcing the content rules, I think that people should be allowed to try new things and make mistakes. If, however, they're posting roughly the same thing over and over again to the point where most people here are getting annoyed by it, it's time to step in.

Ah, that makes it more understandable. I just didn't know who this 'Jeremy' is (I have heard someone mentioning him but that's it).

I have that comic on my desk at work. My boss did not get it.
