An overview


As the village got busier, foliage was worn away and the streets became very muddy and slippery, making life very difficult


To solve this, gravel and sawdust was placed over the mud to provide grip.


The biggest addition is the courthouse/community centre, built as the result of major disputes between businesses over pollution. Records are kept here.

Arthur Black, an elderly blacksmith from upriver, visited Wellfield in order to buy cheap stone from a newly built mine nearby. Upon his purchase, he noticed that the stone was rich in iron ore, and decided to relocate his establishment to the area. The cheap, high quality iron he was able to sell as a result attracted much commerce and immigration to the area.
