I Feel as Though I Should Share This

That aside, I feel as though I should probably write a full blog post so I don't get this taken off the front page. As the summer winds down I find myself dreading the beginning of school. Although I do very well in school, I hate it with a burning passion. Add that on top of the fact the most of my friends are graduated and going off to college, we get an equation for a pretty shitty school year. Also I still have to do my summer reading assignment, uhg. In terms of my life, I've gotten a Job at T.G.I. Friday's as a busboy. Not the most glamors job, but I'll take it instead of flipping burgers at McDonald's. In addition, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in a week or so so I'm pretty excited about that *sarcasm*. In terms of games, I've been playing a lot of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I downloaded it for Xbox and I've been having a great time playing it. I watched EVO a few weeks ago and since then I've really wanted to play some fighting games. Once I get my first pay check I'll probably pick up Super Street Fighter IV, or maybe BlazBlue. Hell, maybe even a fight stick lol. Also I got 30 hours into FFXIII, but haven't played it for more than 30 minutes since i got MVC2. I really enjoyed the game, but I just don't have the drive to play anymore. If you read my last blog you are aware of the project I have been working on. Dubbed the "Internet Stranger Project", basically I go on Omegle and ask people about themselves and their lives. From there, I post any interesting conversations I have on the Project's Tumblr page. I'll include a link if you are at all interested in the concept. The latest conversation I've had was by far my favorite so I suggest you check it out. http://www.isproject.tumblr.com That's about all I have to say about my life right now, good day. ~OnlyWonderBoy
Internet Stranger Project
Posted on July 30, 2010 at 15:12
This is an idea that I had last night, and have put into affect today. Here's the description i wrote for the site:
"The world is full of interesting people, but finding them isn't always the easiest thing. The internet has has made this task much easier, but there are still plenty of undocumented people in this world whose stories I'd like to uncover. Recently sites like Omegle have become popular, a chat service that randomly matches you with a stranger to talk to. Although there are a fair amount of immature people on these types of sites, I'm sure that there are some people who use these sites whose stories are worth recounting. I'm going to start every conversation with "What's your story? What makes you interesting?", or some similar variation. I plan on posting any interesting conversation I have here." Tumblr: http://isproject.tumblr.com Twitter: http://twitter.com/intstrangerproj This is something I plan to update fairly regularly in my free time. If this idea interests you, please follow and spread the word. The two conversations I have posted are not the greatest, but are more of a sample of how I kind of want things to go.
V3?! Nope not quite. And an retrospective apology

As I signed onto 64 digits in my non regular fashion, I was shocked to find something I had not seen in a long time on this site, change. I think it's nice to see blogs getting a more prominent place on the site as it was always my most used feature (still don't understand GML to this day).
Anyway I'm sure that many of you are sick of hearing me say that "I'm back", only to have me slink back into the depths of the internet a few mere days later. For that reason, I am not going to make such a bold claim. Simply know that I may, or may not, come here to make a post about what's going on in my head, cause lord knows I couldn't post anything GM related. So I pose this question to those who are more familiar with the site: What's the big news, who's the big game creator, what's the most anticipated game, where's Flashchat? All joking aside, I remember when I frequented this site how important the community was and I'm hoping it's still the same these days Now onto the 'apology' section of this blog. Back in the day I was a real dick to some people, mostly mods. I had an arrogant 'don't give a fuck' attitude. I was young and stupid. Going back and looking at some of my old blogs kind of saddens me. I don't believe I was dumb enough to bitch about some of the things I did. But the truth is that I did and I just wanted to say sorry to any of the mods I may have offended, I had some good times on this site and I shouldn't have been such a throbbing penis. Well I guess that about wraps it but. Maybe I'll be back, maybe I won't. I'm not making any promises this time. ~WonderBoy
A Blog Post: By OnlyWonderBoy

Man did I pick a good time to try and reboot my activeness here a 64 a couple months back. I made a hand full of blog posts, got lazy for a week or so and next thing i know i come back and the whole damn site is down...plus it took me to Meatspin once, that was traumatizing.
Anyway I suppose I'll try and become an active blogger again as it was in the old days. To be honest I sorta miss the community here. I miss flashchat and then the subsequent MSN conversations after flashchat was brutality taken down in a vicious manner. Yes i know there's irc, but Firefox won't open it and it's still not the same. I'm sure sure flashback will be on my ass again simply by mentioning flashchat. Anyway if you're from 64 and you're willing to hit me up my MSN is th3onlywonderboy@hotmail.com Anyway it's pointless to recap everything that's happened between my last blog as it would simply take up to much time. But I will give a quick synopsis that is in no particular order. 1. Persona 4 is my favorite JRPG I've ever player (more to come in a later blog) 2. Persona 3 is pretty sweet too, but not as sweet 3. Sly Cooper still kicks ass even after all these years. 4. Mass Effect was great fun. 5. High School is my bitch 6. I finally got my driver's license. So that's about it for now. I hope to keep you guys up to date and be prepared for my Persona blog, it should be quite interesting. P.S. Also bring back the motherfuckin RPG
More Like Mass "Erect", amiright?

So in response to my last blog, GOOD JOB! Sure it was mostly spam but hey, 27 comments it 27 comments. Who am I to argue with that?
Quote: Juju Oh come off it, 5 comments is plenty enough. Up until very, very recently I'd only ever get a handful. I guess I'm just used to how things used to be. Plus I was just begin satirical. I don't really think I diverse more comments because I'm full of myself or anything. So this past Thursday was Thanksgiving and it went pretty well. Got up early and played football with a bunch of guys from my dad's work. Then some random guys who were looking for games they could play in showed up. A couple of them even play collage ball for West Virgina. I was like the youngest there so I got pretty roughed up. I'm not out of shape but physically gifted I am not. Then the rest of the day was spent playing Mass Effect which I had just recently purchased specifically to keep me occupied while I was at my dad's and just sorta relaxing. Dinner was good, we had steak instead of turkey. It was really good and I had had turkey at some "pre-thanksgiving" family get together so it was a nice change of pace. Then after that I got picked up and went home around 7. Then at around 8:45 my friends picked me up and took me to their house. We just talked until like 12 and then we decided to get a few hours of sleep before we went out for Black Friday. So next thing I know I'm being woken up at 3:30 A.M. We then proceed to go to stand in line at Best Buy for an hour in the cold and no one bought anything. To sum it up in a few words, It was fun but I probably won't do it again anytime soon. I'm sorta coping out on explaining the entire day cause I'm tired and I want to occupy myself with something other then spelling out my week. Later that day i went to my dad's again and the weekend consisted of putting up Christmas decoration, playing Mass Effect and Call of Duty 4. Speaking of Call of Duty 4, the other night I tried to complete one of the hardest achievements I have ever attempted. The Mile High Club Achievement has you completing the epilogue mission on Veteran difficulty. Now this means you have 1:00 minute to survive a level filled with enemies that can kill you in 3 shots on a level that takes just about a minute to complete. Talk about frustrating, I mean I wanted to slit my wrists because I was so angry. I eventually beat it, took me like an hour and a half. Well anyway my attention span runs short so I'm gonna end it here. I'll probably talk about my experiencing with Mass Effect more in depth in my next blog, but it short it's pretty damn fun. ~OnlyWonderBoy
5 Comments? You Can Do Better

Really? That's all on my last blog? I guess I'm just not cool enough for you guys =[. But I digress...
I do need a new avatar/banner. Those were just placed for nostalgia purposes. I of course am a lazy bastard and will probably not get around to it for a while. Yay for procrastination. So, for those few who were interested on how my weekend ended up going I'd have to say it went pretty damn good. I was able to spend the entire weekend with my girlfriend which was of course fun. Added to that was a mix of good food and family which was all fine and good. On the down side I actually didn't get my copy of Fallout 3, or any new video game for that matter. Apparently just because I didn't have a birthday party it makes it so my family didn't have to get me presents. Well I suppose I'll just have to shell out $60 out and buy it. Course I still have around $30 store credit at the local Exchange so it'll come out to about 30 of my real dollars. I give the weekend an B+. Man I really do hate Sundays. Not Sundays in general but rather Sundays where I have to go to school the next day. Luckily we have a short week due to Thanksgiving. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are the only days we have school. Then I'm sleeping over my dad's on Wednesday so I can play football Thanksgiving morning. After that I come home and will probably just chill. Then me and some buds are supposed to go out at 3 in the morning for Black Friday. We'll probably end up doing more dicking around then shopping but whatever. Other then that my life is pretty much just school/homework/video games/hanging with friends. I hope you enjoy the story of my life for which I have graciously laid out for your reading pleasure. In conclusion, end. ~OnlyWonderBoy Edit: So i cleaned out my File Manger and I deleted my old avatars/banners. For the moment I'm just using that avatar till I get the gumption to make my own. Besides, Metal Gear Awesome owns. Edit 2: lol spam. Well, at least it's more then 5 comments I suppose
And Yet Another Blog For Your Viewing Pleasure
Posted on November 21, 2008 at 16:50
So let's start this blog off with a little recap:
Quote: RawrSpoon We need to play castle crashers in the near future. I'm stuck on thieves' forest on insane mode. I suppose I could give you a hand. Shame you don't really get anything for beating Insane Mode. Quote: Kenon You ever read Fahrenheit 451? No, but I really want to. Actually when I read 1984 we also had the option of reading Fahrenheit 451 but 1984 had an automatic 10% extra credit on the presentation you had to give on it. Needless to say I'm glad I read it. Quote WOOONDERBOY! TAKE ME FAR AWAAAAY FROM THE MUCKY-MUCK! & WONDERBOOOOY WHAT IS THE SECRET OF YOUR POWER Haha yeah that's where i got the name from. Long live the D. Quote: Plethicide "So as I predicted my weekend was about as entertaining as watching paint dry while eating a delicious meal. Sure the meal makes up for it some what but in the end you just spent an entire weekend watching paint dry." That is a wonderful analogy. <3 Much appreciated. I liked it myself. It felt like i was channeling my inter Yatzee (The Zero Punctuation Reviewer) into that one. Quote: Snakeman Oh lawd, many months have passed and it seems nothing has changed. Yes...nothing. OK well that takes care of the recap, onto the new... As it turns out I'm going away again this weekend, this time however will be much more entertaining. I'm going to my Grandpa's this time and my girlfriend is coming with me. Together for 14 months. Anyway we will have a nice pre-Thanksgiving dinner and what not plus I'll be getting the final batch of my birthday presents. I'm hoping for Fallout 3 but Gears 2 or Tales of Vesperia would be fine substitutes. Aside from that nothing all to interesting there. Still prefer to stay home but hey, what are you gonna do? Although a little out of order tonight should be pretty fun. Going to my friends with like 5 other dudes to watch the UFC fight from last weekend. I already know who won the main event but it'll still be cool so see. It'll be fun: food, pop and a whole lot of gay jokes. Finally to round things out is what I bought my friend the other day. At the local FYE store they had been selling life size cut outs of the presidential candidates for about $30 dollars. My one friend had been eying the John McCain one for quite some time but couldn't bring himself to spend a whole $30 on it. I went to the mall last night and low and behold, John McCain was on sale for a whopping $5. I called my friend and needless to say he told me to swoop that baby up before it got sold. Now McCain is in my back room just waiting to be sent to his rightful home. Anyway that's about all for the moment, I'm gonna go back to Assassin's Creed and see if I can get it done here so I can return in to my friend. ~OnlyWonderBoy
WonderBoy Reborn: Blog #3
Posted on November 16, 2008 at 19:00
Well then so blog number three is entered onto the first page. It'll be off soon since this will put my first blog on the bottom of the recent blog list. Just saying. Anyway I digress...
So as I predicted my weekend was about as entertaining as watching paint dry while eating a delicious meal. Sure the meal makes up for it some what but in the end you just spent an entire weekend watching paint dry. The only real thing that entertained me was Assassin's Creed. So fun, but so repetitive. Of course I'm glad I'm just borrowed it from a friend rather then buying it. Also while down there i had to write a rough draft essay for me English class. We just finished The Crucible. It was an OK book but a marketable improvement over The Scarlet Letter, now that's a boring book. Idk, classic books and I don't fair all too well. I feel as if as a class we should read my contemporary stuff. The classics are OK but that doesn't make them the best. The only classic novel I've truly enjoyed was 1984. Now that was an amazing book. As far as things go for me that's about all that's going on. Also Snakeman is arrogant and him "pestering" me wasn't what made me want to come back. Just remember, he is a noob, as always.
Second Blog on The Front Page

Haha that never used to happen.
So things are looking pretty boring as far as the weekend goes. I get to spend the weekend in wonderful Woodsfield, OH. The town so small Wendy's Corporation felt it wouldn't be profitable to open up a store there. I wouldn't mind usually but this means I get separated from almost all technology, no cell phone connection and no INTERNET. I know that most of you would not survive but I don't really have a choice in the matter. I might take my 360 down with Assassin's Creed but i don't know if I feel up to disconnected everything just for the sake of taking it down Saturday morning and then having to pack it up again Sunday afternoon. Oh and the best part is I have to be at my Dad's at 6:45 A.M. I already live 15 minutes away so we're talking about waking up at about 6ish. That's usually not a big deal but it's the weekend so I can't even enjoy sleeping in. Anyway I guess I can only bitch about that for so long. As far as other stuff goes High School's fine, I'm a sophomore so it's a cool year. I had straight A's on my last report card. I got like a 4.45 GPA with all my Honors and AP classes. Sometime I wish i was just a slacker who got paid for good grades, now that would be nice. I guess that's all that's going on at the moment. Probably gonna go play some Assassin's Creed and Halo 3 (OnlyWonderBoy) after this. Hit me up if you're gonna be on. Anyway I hope you guys have a better weekend then me, at least my Grandma's a good cook. That would take the sting off. Later ~OnlyWonderBoy
...And So I Step From The Shadow.

Right off the bat I'm actually making a real attempt to come back this time. I know this is my 3rd attempt and i feel really bad for misleading my fellow 64 Digiters, I know my return would warm the souls of you all and I know the realization this claim was false made all hearts break. But, take solace in the fact this is the true return of a God among 64er's. But enough about my awesomeness, let's get down to business.
Things are going well at the moment. My life is pretty good and I guess I can't complain. Nothing all to interesting there. As far as Game Maker goes i sorta wanna get back into it and maybe I'll actually be able to do some good in it now. God did I suck with that program. GML made me it's bitch. I really don't wanna buy it though, I don't got no money =[. It seems blogging is done a lot less the I remember. Of course I'm just basing that on the fact blogs are staying on the front page for days rather then hours. Oh well that's cool I suppose. Gives more people a chance to read it. As for my Avatar and Banner they're some old recycled ones until I get the gumption to actually make new ones. As for gaming things are pretty sweet. My 360 is going strong for about a year and no RROD in sight. And even if it does happen i have a Best Buy warranty so i can exchange it for a new Xbox without waiting. As far as games go I'm still getting online enjoyment form Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4. Hit me up if you wanna play (OnlyWonderBoy). Right now I'm borrowing Assassins Creed form my friend and I must say it's quite fun. The game play and story is cool but I can see it getting a bit worn out after a while. As for recent completions I just finished Dead Space on the 360. It's quite the enjoyable game. I give it a recommendation. My gaming future foresees Fallout 3, GeOW2, Tales of Vesperia and maybe No More Heroes. I should get at least two as late birthday presents and money for more. So my year in gaming has been pretty sweet. Anyway as far as things go that's about it. Life is good and I'm glad to be back (for real this time). Who knows, maybe I'll be creating the next big GM game. Haha yeah then again, maybe not. ~OnlyWonderBoy (P.S. Also any change a mod can change my name to OnlyWonderBoy? Just wondering.) |
