Posted on July 10, 2006 at 06:20
Muahaha! Today (actually like 2 days ago) I (sorta) stole the 5000th blog on 64Digits... After much battling over it, and it was feirce believe me, I won it! Clickly da link to find out more! http://64digits.com/users/index.php?userid=TimTam2&cmd=comments&id=5000
Also in doing so I've managed to add myself to my own favouite users list??? After doing so it seems that "radnom games" dude has copied and mimiced this tromedous feat (grr) and added himself to his freinds list too?!? Oh and as of today it seems 2 of my 3 games/examples have increased a rating without anyone else voting? Kioki, the first game I made and now looking back at it I know needs some refinements, went form 6/10 (ouch!) to 7/10 and my 3D height-mapping example went from 8/10 to 9/10. But unfortunaly it came at a cost... Men of Fire: 3D! feel from its beloved 11/10 rating to an underrated rating of just 8/10 (oww). LOLIES!... all but the Men of Fire: 3D! thingy was true, Mof:3D! actually just stayed at the rating it was on, oh wellz now I got an all games/examples rated 7/10 or higher XD... WOOHOO!!! ~Joel out!
Who want to be my Freind!

NEED 3 MORE FREIND TO GET ANOTHER BADGE, PLEASE REPLY TO BE MY FREIND :D
I dunno, just I sorta don't fully understand the favourite users things, but I think you just go to there page and click "Add favourite User" But is that all? Coz if so then you could jsut add the whole community to your list... So if anyone want to be my freind pleeeaaaase tell me and I'll add you, coz I don't really like being a loner :( And one ore thing, 64Digits it awesome!!! I like da whole badge thing thats sweet, say who owns 64digits? Oh wellz everyone I was wondering if some people could help me get some resources for Men of Fire: 3D!, If you don't know what it is, its a like the best FPS in gamemaker, said by alot of people (remember HT3D2 isn't a FPS!) "I had the pleasure of testing this game. Very good job. One of the best 3d games Ive seen in GM. Too bad its only beta. 10/10" - twisterghost (whos a mod dude who reviewed my game to see if it could go in). Neways I really need help getting a few things more my game: >>Background sounds! Really desperatly need! And I'll need some creepier sounds soon coz I'm going to be having weather, eg. storms etc. >>Sound effects! Need some off these list for this includes |-->Rain sounds |-->Thunder |-->For the guns |-->Some bird churping and stuff |-->Something I could use for a running robots (not the ones I got now, more human looking ones) |-->Ouch! Ow! sounds >>Models more my robots, preferrable <=1000 vertexes and "human" looking bots, and if so a texture over them mapped. (preferable of a model file which is 16px high) >>Some height maps, eg. a grayscale bitmap 100x100 or 50x50 (somewere near there) to get the height of terrain for different levels in >>When I release my beta of the map editor, some kool looking maps too. I know some-one can't get all of them (twists it around) thats why I'm asking you to help! Oh and once I finish me game I'm gonna release to the graphic engine for it and after I've done that I want there to be an end to all the "Mark trutorial" FPS Thanks ~Joel out!

I spend too much time making Video Games
Posted on June 23, 2006 at 05:23
Hmm... I think I spend too much time making games...
Heres a little background info: >> I'm in year/grade 10 >> Untill this year, I have neve failed a maths exam >> Until this year, I have never got below a B+ (or A-, I can't remember) Now I've had two maths exams this year, the first one, I got a C+. I was like... ok then, sorta a little bit worse than normal but I still got an a in my assignment so I was still happy. Now for our "end of semester" exam (remember I live in Australia so its mid-year exams for me), I GOT A D+!!! Now dats like really bad, and now, I've failed a maths exam! Luckily for me by the time I had to tell her my result coz my report card was coming in... she was leaving for Sydney in 2 hours and still had to finish packing so I was safe... She hasn't come back yet though. So this year is the first time I've failed or even got below a B+ in a maths exam... end of last year is when I started using Game Maker... DULP! Conclusion... Game Maker steals your study time! :@ Prev Page | Next Page |
