Okay, I really am dead. I've started a new game called Plasma Blaster. Not much in it yet, but it's coming along.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, those who celebrate it.
Vi...is dead. It was finished, but it was nothing too exciting. Email me if you really want to know what it is.
What else should I say? I really haven't been doing anything important lately. So I guess that's the end of today's update.

Yeah, I'm working on something small that should be done maybe soon. What is it? It's a vi...no wait, I shouldn't say yet. But it isn't a game. More like...er, a program.
Oh My Gosh

Well, I finally finished an example. Should be up soon.

Ugh...my example was terribly buggy, so I trashed it. I may make one about wall-jumping, though.
Also, I've finished the first few bosses for Veta.

Remember the example I mentioned a very long time ago? I...kinda forgot about it. I'm almost done, it should (hopefully) be done in a few days.
Super Secret Project

Shhh, you are about to hear a top secret. I'm working on a new game, and it's a platformer. It's about a alien-type creature that has to escape from the goverment labs. He's going to have lots of special moves unlike any other platformer. They'll also be a lot of weapons and items. I haven't made very much progress on it yet though.
That's all for now.

Well, my relatives are coming over for a visit, and we're staying at Grandma's for a while.
I'm also working on another example, but it's a bit buggy right now. Should be done in a couple of days.
Some News About Veta

I've got most of the the upgrade screen done, I just have to add more stuff. I've fixed the bug of moving to the left side of the screen, and I've added a few more levels.
Also, an example by yours truly should be up soon.
Game Maker + Bordom = This
Posted on June 21, 2005 at 00:00
Well, I was bored, so I wrote a couple of things that I hate to see in games.
Boring, easy games:
In a maze game, make things to KILL the player. In a platform games, make enemies. No, not those stupid zombies walking back and forth waiting to get killed. I mean an enemy that can jump or shoot. This is mainly because of laziness that lame enemies are created. Sure, include one or two dumb enemies at the beginning. But the game should get harder as you progress.
Oh no! You are trapped inside a spaceship that is headed for the sun! Reach the escape hatch before it’s too late! But wait...there is no time limit to the level...so what’s the point of having a threat? Many games have done this and it’s mainly because they’re too lazy to add a timer.

Well, it's Father's Day and I'm stuck at my grandparent's house.
Anyways, the demo of Veta has gotten quite a few of positive comments. Check it out if you haven't.
