Yet another pre-beta has been uploaded.
This one should fix the recent logout bug. Other Changes / additions: -added 39 new outfits -Warp-Balls available in new-city item shop -Own slime is infront of other slimes -Sell-Cursor bug fixed -A takara-bako chan in everybody storage -Changed font for shop and green market I really hope that this version will fix the recent logout bug. You might get a txt file ..if you do, please report it. Yes yes, I got another pre-beta done.
Here is another Client. Green-Market should be fixed now Lots of hacks are prevented Some Glitches and bugs got removed. I am still aware that there is that wierd bug that destroys the object that manages all important things...without this object you cant switch rooms and the game gets stuck...I think we all know this. I am not sure what is causing this, but I think it could be a hackers doing by sending corrupted messages. I will try to fix this as soon as possible! Here is the new Client: Pre-Beta 7.3 This new Client will also need you to start a new account. Dont get mad about this, this is just a pre-beta and if you parcitipate you'll have to live with such things happening. Remember: If you want to try to hack, INFORM me before you do so! If I find somebody HACKING without TELLING me aboout this he will get BANNED and his account deleted! BlaXy-Babe Q__Q

I am sick of the hacking stuff n decompiling gmk. Here you go, another pre-beta: 2nd pre-beta 7 ...isnt it called an ALPHA then? :P Don't forget to create a new account! If you find any bugs, please report em here: Bug-Reports I had so much stuff to take care off...and then that damn gmk-decompiling news Q__Q scared the hell outta me...well...I'll just let the server run and work on some defensive mechanism so the game stays fun for the players... There u have it....I dont care bout decompiling...at least not as much as before :P Well...if somebody decompiles it...he'll have the source...know the variables...and can screw the game as much as he wants....now where can I get a good defensive-mechanism? :P Damn...this could get really troublesome...should have thought about this before I started a MMOG xD Now its to late and I have to protect everything as good as possible... on a side not: MEGAMAN STARFORCE ROCKS (NDS) New pre-beta: pre-beta 7 ..the 3rd :P

It's far to early =D Anyway, I thought I'd keep you updated on the games status. I didnt work on the game for two days now..so...I just started again and this are the changes so far: beta 5a to -> beta5b -Rain effect shouldnt slowdown -Rain effect depth has been changed -Pirate-Hat wont stop Player animation -Warp in Warp-Center shows correct destination now -Quest-Objects are now drawn correctly -Item Names, Outfit Names, Accessory Names are now shown on mouse-contact May 10th: -Outfits/Accessory/Item buyin is now handled server-side (more hack proof) -Fixed Several wrong-placed Tiles -Replaced the pit/lava maps that were buggy and could steal more then 100 points -Outfits/Accessory/Item selling is now handled server-side (more hack proof) May 11th: -Added emoticons "NO" -Emoticons in the bar are now clickable -Added "hounted house" tileset May 12th: -Textboxes added. You can now talk to the shop owners. -Accessories aren't transparent any longer! Posted on May 06, 2007 at 01:00 ![]() Hey there everybody ^-^ Its time again for some Slime Online News =) I worked some time on the next version, and the results are pretty pleasing I must say. I am done adding the Inventory and it works just great. I want to add much more maps, and some other nice features. You know whats cool? Board Members start making Slime Comic like this one: ![]() =) Its pretty funny =) Another day we met in the old city chat and I tried some stuff with my server... here is the result: ![]() Hehe, that was pretty funny xD I still have some problems with the server....need to fix those now. Its been some time since I last wrote a blog :3 Finally version 4c has been released ^-^ Of course we found some ugly bugs again, but I allready fixed em :) With this update I finally added the new MYSQL-featured Signatures. They look like this: ![]() I also expanded the whole worldmap. Its now 3-4 times as big as before. When I was in-game I was stalked by some guys: ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, here is a screen of the new area I will expand, these are the wastelands: ![]() I also added the old city, which originally was in beta 3. ![]() It doesnt look 100% the same as before...but I will expand it ;) Another nice area are the LAVA CAVES. They are dangerous, but pretty cool: ![]() ![]() When I though I could logout the police office suddenly got very crowded: ![]() Shorty after this I could test the bAN-System. It works ;) Oh, for those who couldnt see the new title screen yet, here it is: ![]() You can also click the birds so they fly away :D And, because I am a nice guy, I added the "SLIMON SAYS" room: ![]() It got a bit troublesome when the chat got crowded. I realized that the engine needs some more tweaking: ![]() The forum finally got over 100 members for a total of 102 right now ^-^yay! Way to go :) This latest update (beta 4c) was mainly a Worldmap-Expansion. The next version, which will be beta 5, will be more like a feature update. I will concentrate on adding features instead of adding maps (of course there will be new maps too, I especially want to expand the wastelands and Mount. Steil) Currently I will concentrate on the following: billboard Renting: There will be billboards all over the world of Slime Online. You can rent them and decide what text should be written on them. You can decide for yourself how much money you want to pay for this service, but other peoples can overwrite your text by paying more then you did. I think this is a fair offer. The text will be limited, but I didnt decide on a limit yet. Emoticon bar: Once you hold down CTRL a bar will fade in and show you what digit will show which emoticon. Chat fix: This should have been done long ago. Right now the chat is kinda tricky. It doesnt even wrap the text. I will try to fix this. I am currently using MARK OVERMARS chat tutorial for the chat. If anybody can alter it to add text-wrapping I would be more then happy! EMOTICONS: We dont have many keys left, but I will add some more emoticons. please tell me which emoticons you think would be usefull. HEADGEARS: I will try to add some headgears to the next version. I will propably change the INVENTORY System to something simpler. RESTRICTED AREAS: I plan to add some kind of barrier that can only be passed when holding a certain amount of points (or more) SERVER NPCs: I will try to add Server NPCs such as moving platforms. This should expand the gameplay a bit more. bANK SYSTEM UPDATE: by pressing a certain button (not decided yet) you can change the point selection to the maximum. WORLD MAP: I want to add map-signs to important places. Those will work like the current signs, but instead of a text you get a worldmap overview and a marked spot so you know where you are. TRAVELING SERVICE: Later I will add the SLIME AIRLINES again, but for the next version I just want to add a "Warp Service". I will create a special building which you can enter and pay to warp to important places. ...more to be added later! I hope you like these ideas ^-^ BlaXun
Slime Online Adventures
Posted on April 25, 2007 at 21:55 ![]() Woah, it has been 24 hours since I released Slime Online beta 4b. I had a great time today playing with other people who like the game as much as I do. We got some pretty nice screenshots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The first Players started to make a "Clan" and get the highscore ^^ Its kinda funny, the game doesnt have much gameplay yet, but people are still playing the whole day ^^ The game takes exactly the route I want it to take and it seems to get exactly the people I wanted to play it. I want the game to be more a Community-Game then any other gameplay. On a side-note, a girlfriend of mine got addicted to teh game and drew this: ![]() She will draw even more for the game ^-^ For the next version I allready added a sign that shows the players how many other people are playing. I also fixed lots of bugs and added more maps. And I noticed just now that 64Digits changed their policy on blogs that appear on the front page ^^ I like this, this is the first time my blog survived longer then 10 minutes on the front page ;) Something I am waiting for is the next issue of the GMTech Magazine. I gave a 3 page interview :D Talking about that magazine...the site seems to be down...I hope that doesnt mean anything bad. Anyway, YoYo-Games still didnt make their move, but they quietly perform some tests in the background. I guess it wont take to long ;) As I browsed the GM-Manual again today I encountered the nice function choose() it can have 16 arguments and is pretty cool xD Anyway, I cant think of anything else right now.. ok...there is one more thing, NO, even two things ^-^ First: Slime Online gets MYSQL-featured signatures, like this one: ![]() Second: Austin and I are working on a new site for the game. here is the link for the temporary version: http://simplicity.zapto.org/slime/?cmd=news
Slime Online beta 4b
Posted on April 24, 2007 at 21:42 ![]() Yay! Its been one day but I allready got Slime Online beta4b done! I only had 3 hours sleep, but I love the game and I think it's worth it ^^ Ok, we had a bad start on beta 4b and I encountered lots of bugs, but I fixed em pretty fast :) The Main Features of this new Version are: -A new City (New Slime-City) -New Maps -A police with 7 cells -A Bank The jail can be used by the server to jail people. Once the server executes the command the Player with the given name will be put into a cell :) Other Players can look at him and laugh :P The bank is another pretty cool feature. You can deposit, withdraw and even transfer slime-points between accounts. The bad thing about the whole beta4-series is that all old maps dissappeared into nirvana. I had to re-write the whole game...because the previous version had some engine bugs. I dont say that this current engine is perfect, but for now it does it job better then the old one ;) With this new release I hope to get some more activity on the boards ^-^ The server will mostyl be online 24/7. Just in case I need to test new features it will shutdown for a while. Slime Online beta 4a

This new version uses a completely re-written engine and was completely started from scratch. You better dont expect any new features in this version! This version only has the games basic features, but new versions will appear much more regulary now. I hope to get much beta testers so we can find as many bugs as possible (allready found some ^^;) With some luck the next version will come out tomorrow.
