³, ², ¹... BOOM!
School: I've got the results from my reading test. I got a 10! I don't read anything, and it's long time ago I last read a book. In fact, I read more English than Danish! Oh and we had a spelling test too... 9 Our class is still using the old grade-system. You can see it here. 64D: I haven't been much on, when I was it was mostly blog reading. And if someone has read about me in Pobble-Wobble's blog... We give crap about the warn system anyway. We are all good friends again. Game Maker: Have been very active in the instance_nearest_ext topic on the GMC. Talking about instance deactivation, ds_priory & point_distance. Can you come with a faster instance_nearest_ext (aka nth) script? Leif: That's a danish male name... Life: blank
It finally works!

First a tip: Brainstorming helps you solve many upcoming troubles.
After the format my Internet still troubled me. I just couldn't find out why and I thought 'till the end that it was my hosts fault... Until I tested it on another computer. So it must be a problem with my comp, but I had formatted it, that should have done it... *Brainstorming*. Oh yeah, I had altered the BIOS, ups. But before looking at that I just updated my onboard Ethernet and it turns out that that was the problem... Weird. And I've downloaded Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos... Can finally play War III: Frozen Throne again. You should really try it out.
So I formatted it...

Warning! Very detailed, long and boring text. If you are one of those like SJF then don't read this blog for your own good.
The backdoor trojan had been on my computer for a couple of months. The only thing it had downloaded was a spyware sending personal information and about what sites I were on, but that didn't matter. But until recently the backdoor trojan felt, I don't know, alone maybe. Suddenly I couldn't use the search button anymore, it had screwed up and locked my hosts files (used GiPo@MoveOnBoot to fix it), more adds and pop ups, draining bandwidth like hell (50MB in a few minutes, while I normally used that in a day), and a couple of more things. And the same stuff as in my previous blog. But then I when I had got unlimited this year I formatted and reinstalled. But ofc not without problems. My CDROM has some weird problem, it loves scratching CD's till they die (already destroyed 4 CD's), and it can have a hard time reading them. So during the install boot from the CD it failed to read a file! Nothing some toothpaste and water can't fix. Later on, while doing the first part of the install (installing the core/shell/whatever) it failed to install driver.cab. Shit! But it wasn't any important file anyway. Then when I was done I installed firewall, antivirus, etc.. But when I was about to move my documents from my 1-2 years old 16MB USBKey, I first needed to install the driver. Yikes. Well, even though driver.cab wasn't fully readable I managed to get the sound card- and usbkeydriver out of it. Now to something that really bugs me! When I play CS/CZ it lags like hell. Even after the reinstall. Here is some information: I use the same background application as when it worked, till it didn't, till now. I've had worms and dialers and such before but not now. It started when I altered the game settings, but they should have been kinda reseted after the format, and they are stored local btw. Here is the most fun fact: My friend who has the same ISP and plays CS/CZ too (although he is banned That really bugs me, I hope I can ask at a CS forum or something...
Bah! Serwab!

I don't think anyone cares whether I tag the title with my name or not...
I haven't been online for some time now, and here is the story: It all started when I discovered The Pirate Bay (actually someone told me about it), but I think it actually started earlier... Well, I found a lot of nice stuff, I can have AVG and Zonealarm upgraded for about 100 years. I've downloaded misc. stuff and such... Oh right, back to the serwab. For a long time I've had annoying pop-ups popping up when I visited sites. I always closed them fast. I knew I had a trojan, I've had it for... Well... 2-3 months, it has been "terminated/killed/deleted" a couple of times (according to AVG :/), but it's still here. And for not long time ago (a week or two) it started being aggressive. I had loads of spyware and suddenly a worm too. The problem is that AVG, Zonealarm (Pro), Spyware Doctor, Ad-aware, even panda activescan can't find or do anything about it. I don't care anyway. I am going to format next year when I get unlimited bandwidth. The motherboard thing haven't moved since last time. I think I am going to drop it v_V. In other news! About my presents... I'd gotten socks >_<. BIG >_<. Oh, and 1000 DKK <_< (No, not KKK). And... Warcraft III: Frozen throne. EDIT: When I was about to submit a comment my ISPs DHCP server went down X_X!
Misc. News!

I want a new motherboard!
As you've guessed I want a new motherboard. The one I have now (GE-PRO M2 from ASRock) just plain sucks! The AGP speed is 4x ONLY! My Radeon 9600 series (Doesn't matter what kind exactly) can run on a (not) stunning 8x speed. I ask myself how big difference this make. From what it looks like my AGP should be twice as slow as it should, or what? Well, I've found a motherboard (one single, only one). It has the same CPU socket, supports Celeron (Yeah, I hate that! I really wish I had choosed one with AMD from the start Christmass is here, but I have no wishes... Christmas is slowly approaching and I've already been what I want (or wish), I just don't know. I mean, I have everything I want. The only way is they either buy a gift token or I could find a "It's the thought that counts"-gift. I can't wish the motherboard because it's can only be bought on the web on one single site only :O! Feeling unknown. I've always felt quite unknown or rather un-famous. Until I see Arcalyth compare me with Rob. Well, I am still not famous, but I am known to some. But, he compared me with Rob... ROB! He is, well, uuhm... Have I've gotten the "noob" status? I know GearGOD has, she (the avatar is a she, and there is a picture of a female in "her" happyblog-thing) finds everyone that isn't know (yet) as noobs. In the start I thought it was because of the knowledge. But I've seen known GMC members getting it litterly "in the face" by her. And it's not about the age either... I think. Enough of her, back to me: Do YOU know me? If you do; How do you know me? As a ... 64 Digits doesn't exist! I've found out that this site doesn't exist, it's the thruth! Q: Can you post apps in the Games section?
Life of my mothers PC
Posted on December 08, 2006 at 11:33 Life of my mothers PC The story goes chronological: I sit down in front of the PC. I turn on the moniter and hear it's buzzing sound while it slowly warms up. I turn on the old and greyish speakers, god I hate the look of them. I then bend down to turn on the PC, I hit the button and the first that strikes me is the sound. Like when an airplane start it's engines, it's the cooler thing in the back. No, I don't know it's name, and it is loud as hell. It's has just passed the machine check and I've heard the little confirming beep from the tower. I then see a flash of the Win Me logo before the screen turn black. I see the little white blinking underscore, finally Windows pops up. I wait a few second before I see the taskbar pop up. A few more second... The desktop turns up with all it's glory and icons. A few seconds more, background programs starting. ZoneAlarm, AVG Free, Portblocker ... Just a few more seconds to cool down... *BLING*! Screen turns black, no reaction from mouse/keyboard, speakers silenced... I then hold down the power button in 5 seconds, the computer turns off, 2 more seconds, turning it on. Seeing my whole life pass in review. Windows again, waiting for programs to start up. Two more seconds ... *BLING*! <__<... Over again, *BLING*! Over again ... *BLING*! For gods christ (should that be capitalized?)! Fifth time it succeded, I waited a few more seconds to just feel the power from the computer run through me. It's alive!... Finally. I slowly but surely move the mouse towards the little fox that holds the globe in its hollow hand. *Click-Click*. Five seconds, window pops up. Firefox initiated. Clicks "Log On", waiting yet another second. Click "Game Maker Comm..." in the Bookmark bar. Waiting. Clicks my name, clicks "Find members topics" ... Waiting again. No replies. Searching the novice forum for any interessting topic, nothing. Advanced forum, nothing. 3D, skipped. Expert, tsa05 have replied, *replying back*. What now? Looking in extending, nothing. Creations, nothing. WIP, nothing. Skipping the rest. Looking in Community, oh new locked topics, *Reading them, having a laugh*. What now? *Clicking "AwesomeSoft" in the bookmarks bar*. Scrolling down, nothing new. biggoron is on, reading the board index. That means he is playing and left the window open <__<. Bored, what now? I then decide to clean up some directories. After a little clean up I found the "Scandskw.exe" (i've moved it because it always starts up and crashes. Well, not always crashes, because then I wouldn't be able to move it. You'll find out why later here). *Open*. I choose to scan "D: drive". *Scanning*... Waiting a little more than a minute, less than two. A pop up ... Pops up <_>. "Error found in D:Email<something>.log", *deletes*. Continues... Error found in boot sector, :O! *Repair*... Waiting a few more seconds, done. I then decide to scan the main disk: "C:" (Like you didn't guessed already). After a few seconds a pop up tells me that the harddisk got physically damage (Doing a bigger mellow than before)! It suggests me to do a full scan where it scans the disk surface too. Okay then... *Click*. *Waiting*. Waiting more, waiting even more. A new pop up comes and tells me that this time it has found that the "C:WINDOWSInternet logs" directory is damaged (Well, errored, or... You know >_>) and filled with errors (Yeah, that one). I choose to delete it. *Waiting*, gets bored... A new pop up comes with this message: "ScanDisk have now restarted over 10 times, please close all running programs, bla bla bla..." I don't want to do this anymore. I choose to exit scandisk. I then come to think of the directory "Internet logs", it is afterall a windows directory, I wonna make sure it is deleted. What I find may find you funny (Aren't there any more correct word for it?). It did to (for?) me. The directory wasn't deleted (no that was not the funny part). The directory looks like it has been infected with a whole club of viruses (but after more thinking it could have been ScanDisk's way to "delete"). There are no more than 5479 files in it. It is quite common for a temp directory to have lots of files. Now here comes the funny part where I had to agree with ScanDisk: I couldn't delete the files (no, not the funny part yet), then I looked down (here comes the funny part that you've been waiting for) and see that the folder has a size of 5,39 TB (Terabytes). Just so you can understand why I kinda laughed and mellowed, 1 TB = 1000 GB (more correctly, 1024GB). That would consume 13800% of the harddisk! I declare this impossible! (The clever ones out there can guess what size the harddrive is) I can't clear the directory (And GiPo@MoveOnBoot can only do files, not folders), so I'll just let it be as it is. P.S. I made the double title because it looks good. P.P.S This is NOT an everyday event! Prev Page | Next Page |
