Trying to get artistic
Posted on September 09, 2012 at 14:47
Well, it's been quite a while since I last wrote a blog entry. There ought to be alot to tell but, I guess I'm just one of those with boring life. :<
So... Yeah. As some of you might already know, I HATE DRAWING BACKGROUNDS
, GOD DAMMIT!
I'll be adding a proper background later. Or then I'll just try drawing it from a scratch again. I've planned on using the design in some game of mine. If I ever actually get to finish any...
Aaaand so much about the art.
Speaking of Pokémon. I lately got into the Pokémon TCG again with a couple of friends. And now I've spent way too much money on the cards to catch on with the other people. A few hundred, I guess. I'd be better off buying single cards for my decks but I'm not just that kind of person. I like the excitement of opening the booster packs. :<
I also tried some Duel Masters but I guess that game is dead by now. Havn't seen anything related to it for a while. Now all this TCG mania of mine has led to the thought of creating my own TCG but I can't really see it getting much attention in middle of hundreds of other TCGs. Series like MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and WoW are pulling too much focus from players.
PS. Can't wait for the S4D to start. :3
Edit: I made a file renamer that renames all the files in selected folder and gives them subsequent numbers... Because I couldn't find one. Because I didn't even try...
Here it is: Clicky
It's made with GM so be careful with it! :P

Also, I'm doing just fine (or I think I'm...).
2012 and F4D
Posted on January 03, 2012 at 06:16
O'hey, look, it's the year of the Armageddon!
New year went quite fine.
We shot some fireworks at our neightbour
We were shooting fireworks with our neighbour since we (or rather my sisters) have 2 horses/ponies which would be scared the shit out of them if we did that next to the stable. Then we got invited inside to have a drink... And we ended up staying a bit longer than we were supposed to, which resulted in getting drunk. I went bed around 7am after some ham sandwiches and a couple of LoL matches (which I lost).
And that's pretty much it. So, happy new year! :3
So about the F4D. When I noticed that the deadline had been extended I finally started with my game! It was on 29th or 28th day I think. And now it has been extended by one more week! There's still hope to get an actually playable version published in time!
It's dangerous to go alone, take this screenshot
As you can probably notice, almost all of the graphics are placeholders. Those maroon red cylinders will be replaced with trees/rocks other stuff, and somehow look less repetitive (random x/y coords abit?). Might attempt to make heightmapped terrain to make it look nicer, but that's pretty much the last thing I'll be doing for now.
Lets add that it's my 1st 3D project ever! D:
F4D and TSG
Posted on December 16, 2011 at 19:12
For F4D... I havn't started yet! I've some most awesome ideas however.
And TSG, they're streaming Zelda for next 72 hours stright for charity. They've been doing this kind of streaming for a few years now and have raised about 290,000$ so far. They are hilarious too!
Check them here!
And... Life... I have none, not much to talk about. We're having a lan party tomorrow tho! But why at the same time with that stream. :<
My life and another TSG marathon.
Posted on July 10, 2011 at 19:24
So... I've been playing some Minecraft lately and ended up building a couple of mob farmers: Slime Farmer
and Dungeon Farmer
, both fully automatic.
And my real life... Well, I'm starting my military service in around 12 hours. Proably should go to bed. I won't be able to use computer for about 2 weeks. :(
And then the gaming marathon:

The Poodle of Death
Posted on March 31, 2011 at 03:33
The following is copy paste from my deviantART entry
So, what happened here... Somewhere back in 2010, people were reading their history homework during a break. There was a picture of this painting, "Kuoleman Puutarha" (the Garden of Death). One of my classmates misheard that as "Kuoleman Puudeli" (the Poodle of Death). So apparently the Death now has a pet. Which is a poodle.
Also. Damn bones sure are some interesting stuff to draw!
Now, go check that thing, I know you want to. :P
So, what else have I been doing these past months? Nothing!
Well I got Demon's Souls on 19th of March, and a week afterwards I'd clocked about 65 hours. This week I've had some break from it. I've only the last boss left (I suppose) but I decided to do some preparations for NG+, aka grind some souls and collect some equipment.
It's a quite addicting game. For a while it felt like WoW all over again. D:
Now I'm struggling with the decision if I want to buy GM8(.1) or not. Since of 1st of April I'm definetly not gonna do that.
I need a new avatar.
Confusing wall of text is confusing.
TSG: Pokémon marathon
Posted on March 11, 2011 at 11:59
I know we got some Pokémon loving members around here! So here we go:
We are gaming for the ALS Association (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Website: http://www.alsa.org/.
Our Marathon will begin on Friday March 11 @6pm central and last for 72 hours ending on Monday March 14th.
We will be attempting to catch the original 251 Pokemon using the first two generations of games excluding Crystal (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver).
So ,they're a group of gamers, gaming for a good cause! They've had marathons streamed since 2008 and raised incredible total of $254,995.67 for different charities.
So make sure to take a look at them at http://www.thespeedgamers.com
Banner, artwork 'n stuff
Posted on November 29, 2010 at 18:38
So lets start with the banner. Decided to replace that default banner with something else. I might add address of my website to some corner later.
And the artwork! These both are rather quick drawings, and are dedicated to my project, which hasn't even started yet. However, it will be a sidescroll platform. I've only sketched first room and that's it so far. I'm all lost about what to start with, and I can't decide if I really want to make variating terrain or tiled terrain, since I've never done the previous one.
And then the stuff... Umm... Well my site's
progress is veeeeery slow. User registration now should work properly, forgot password can be reset and user cp works fine. PM possiblity won't be implented for a while and thus I'm wondering why the link still exists. Also, that blog works fine. I should start working on the art section next. Finally I'll just need some advertising all around the internetz.
And moare stuff... I already miss 64Craft. My obsidian reinforced bank vault is incomplete, and some other stuff must be done as well. Guess it's time to go to bed. :P
And I still need a new avatar. Dammit! Maybe tomorrow...
PS. School sucks donkey nuts. Again.
// And to add, I've been listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra for a couple of days. :]
Oh my GoD!
Posted on November 23, 2010 at 17:19
Yeah, I'm back.
Some of you might've seen me on 64D's MineCraft SMP server already. And, so I lately found GM again and decided to check if anything's happened here. Damn it feels good to be back.
Also, along with games I decided to start doing my website stuff again. My current website is Iceborn.com
and I'd appreciate if some people could test if things are working properly. My first goal is to get that blog fully work, and then do other sections. If I - and users - feel like a forum is required, then it will be made by time as well.
Think I'll work on BBCode next. I don't feel like letting people to use html in blog comments. :P
It felt so bad to read my old blog entries... They're all full of fail...
But now it's time to go to bed.
PS. I love snow
PPS. We need a Preview button.
PPPS. I need a new avatar...
Happy new year!
Posted on December 31, 2007 at 20:22
Okey, in Finland it's 3:20 o'clock at 1.1.2008 ^^. So happy new year for everyone. And I hope you had happy christmas as well. (yea, I'm bit late)
There's no any porgress with making games since start of november. I've got an idea to create game that is bit like Monopoly. Just some differences. Other opinion is somekind of card game, maybe with multiplayer. Just have to get somewhere server or something to save player information if that feature is needed.
If somebody remembers that game I were creating for YoYo Games's winter competition, well it didn't complete. The source code was too unclear for me to understand, and I writed it all myself =D. But don't worry, I'll someday start to rewrite code ^^. Bit information about that game:
Game is bit like Final Fantasy Tactics (Advance). Battles are isometric, but if I can, I'll make it more real time style. So more action than in FFT. There are 3 different classes. In earlier porject they were thrower, warmer and waterer (If I can remember correctly). Yea, sound stupid. You should already get what was this game. Yep, snowfight. Project name is Snowball Madness. I don't even have anykind of story for it yet =P. Someone might remember that ninja game I showed about 9 month ago (Blog entry still exists). I'll maybe start that again. Just will rewrite that code as well. I'm just lazy. I have one RTS porject as well, called Mundus (latin, means World (yea, I lost my imagination when I turned to 10). That source code should be rewrited as well =P.
About that why my game making havn't make any porgress: I've played whole time. Or had something else to do. Something like watch TV ^^.
School: we got our "christmas diblomas" bit over week ago. It was not bad, only three 7 and one 5 (grading scale 4-10), few 9 and the last is 8. Average value was about 7.4 because that swedish number (5). And can't understand why my english is only 7. I've got from "wordtests" only numbers between 8 and 9-, except one 7½. From test 8½ and Canada lecture I got 7-, because teacher tought I havn't writen that all myself. Teacher said this part of lecture is teached at high school: "Caused by the cold situation of northern Canada, most of the area is unable for cultivating" (she meant that "caused by" part, and I think she don't know what means cultivating =P). No one said we can't use dictionary! I havn't even learn almost anything at lessons. Most of words etc. I've learnt because I'm playing and visiting many of english sites much. And my math number should be 9. Was only 8 :P. And swedish teacher feels like she gives our numbers by how she likes people. I got from tests 5½ and 7+ . Number should be at least 6 xD ( (5.5+7.25):2=6.35) ). And tomorrow I have to wake up at 6:30 to school. Chrismas holiday is over. This sucks >.<.
(I'll break my both legs or something for that I don't need to go xD)
Well... cya. Yay! Feels a lot better. I got all that pressure out of me ^^.
