New Laptop
Posted on August 03, 2009 at 12:32

Since I am going to a new college this coming semester, I decided to get a new laptop. Turns out they required a new one anyway. So instead of sticking with their measly requirements, I decided to go big.

Dell Studio 15
Vista Home Premium
6gb RAM
2.7Ghz Intel Dual Core
512mb ATI Radeon Mobility 4570 video card
Cost: $1600

Turns out, I may have overdone it. I can't make lag. Actually, games play TOO FAST haha. I was playing Prototype and everything was happening so fast I couldn't understand what was going on. So far I've tried playing Prototype and Assassin's Creed while using Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver CS4 all at the same time and the processor doesn't go over 50% and the RAM usage doesn't go over 40%. I love it.

HI JASON KACZMARSKY HERE

announcing that Billy Mays died today V_V

I wrote this on another forum:
"On one of the last episodes I watched of his show, "Pitchmen", he sold family health insurance that was affordable. To make it worse, his entire family was in the commercial and in it you see a little bit of who he really was.
Video of Pitchmen iCan commercial shoot"

Anyway I graduated college with an associates degree in computer science. Woo. In 2 months I'll be going away to another college to get my bachelors degree in web design. Pretty excited to get out of here, but I'm gonna miss seeing my family and girlfriend as much. I guess it will be a learning experience for me =/

I've been playing Prototype a lot lately, it's a pretty badass game. It's like GTA with superhuman powers along with running on walls and stuff, pretty awesome. I've also been playing the new expansion to Spore which is also fun, adds to the humongous amount of things you can do.

That was my attempt at my friends 2d design final. I figure I'd get an A or so.

Soooo college ends this week, which is awesome. I'm sick of doing so much work. I can't wait for a month and a half of break =D

So I have made myself a plan for after I graduate. I'm gonna quit Walmart(or take a few weeks off) and go see my dad in Jersey and then go and see my uncle in Florida. I haven't seen them in years and I figure it would be nice to see them before I went off to college for another 2 years. I'm really excited to live in a dorm away from home, it's so inconvenient to live home right now. I know I'll miss home when I leave, but I want to start my own life finally.

Speaking of my life, I've had a revelation of sorts; a philosophical one. Not a religious "where did life come from?" one, but just a humanistic one. I've been questioning many things in my life and others around me and decided how I'm going to live my life. It's going to be hard and I know I'm going to get hurt a lot through it all, but hopefully it will do some good for people. I had more to write here, but I'm tired =/

Death Inevitable
Posted on November 21, 2008 at 10:52

So, whats been up with me? To make a long story short...
Sarah broke up with me. But it's ok, that was a month ago. I was sad, then I found out she cheated on me near the end, so that sadness went away. I'm happy now, I'm enjoying life again, seeing things I didn't see before. Also, there's a cute girl that has taken to liking me...=)

College

Is getting better. I don't know if I can say the same for my grades, but I feel like trying harder. In my Database Design class I got a 95 on a test, the average was 58 haha. I only got 5 points off because she didn't want to give me a 100, she told me that to my face actually. Whatever haha.

Next semester is my last semester before I get my degree. Should be an interesting/easy semester:
Calc 2
Geology
Bowling
Weight Training
(something else I'm forgetting)

I got accepted to Morrisville University in the General Programming course. It's a 2 year program that will get me my Bachelor's Degree =) I'll be staying at the dorms there as I already have a spot reserved for me. I'm really looking forward to it, I've always wanted to live on my own(well nearly).

I haven't done any programming since I just got over being sad, plus school is kinda kicking my ass. Also I have to program an Access database for my DB design class. Ugh. I hate Access.

Whats the title?
It's something I am writing right now. I enjoy the name, it sounds cool. But the whole breakup has sparked a writing interest. Even something I hated before, poetry.

My TV premiere
Posted on October 13, 2008 at 01:23

So I actually got on the Wife Swap episode. It was brief but I was on it. I downloaded the episode and hosted it on my site so you guys can all watch it.

I'm in the back-left at 15:15 and at 15:27 on the left.

Enjoy my sexiness.

BTW, we're pretty sure their son is gay.

The Life of a Cashier
Posted on July 06, 2008 at 17:28

I'm sure not many of you will find this particularly interesting, but I decided to write something about work.

As a cashier employed by one of the biggest corporations in the world, Walmart, I see many people throughout the day. Some of these people have hope in life, the majority of others don't sadly.

For example, the credit card machines. I don't know how it works in your area, but here if you have a credit card, you swipe it at a little machine by the register, sign your name, then hit ok. Simple enough right? For some people the answer is a huge no. I had one lady ask what button to press after she signed, clear or ok. The obvious answer is "ok". Afterwords she said "On some machines you hit 'ok', on some you hit 'clear', I never know which one to press". Now tell me if I'm wrong, but has the meaning of "clear" changed at all? Sure she was an older lady, but the meaning of "clear" hasn't changed since the creation of computers. Common sense works wonders.

Another problem I see too frequently is how parents deal with children. If a child cries enough, they'll get what they want. Kids are too spoiled nowadays. If I wanted to get something, I had to do something around the house and then I got rewarded. I didn't cry until I got what I wanted.
Speaking of kids, parents just don't care enough about them. One lady had her baby crawling on the floor by the lightbulbs. Since people are inherently clumsy, many lightbulbs get broken a day in that area and not all the glass can be cleaned up. So would having a baby crawl around where broken glass might be be a smart idea? Who the hell would you let their kid on the ground anywhere in a store like that anyway? Irresponsible parents.

Being a large store, some items get misplaced by other customers and associates may not spot them right away. Due to this, people think that things are different prices than what they area. When these people get to a register and find that their item is not the price they saw, they have a huge fit. If you don't like the price, then too bad. People make mistakes and/or people are too lazy to put things back.

Another fun things today. I was near the jewelry counter and a woman wanted to get her granddaughters ear pierced. The associate there told her kindly that only legal guardians(mother/father) can approve it, this is NY State law by the way. Outraged, the woman demanded to see the manager. Apparently the woman didn't see that on the associates badge, it said "Department Manager". So the store manager came up and told her the same thing, she left.

I can't think of anymore things that piss me off at work. I hate people.

Happy Kaz day!

Yay, I'm 19. I'm awesome.
Stuff I got:
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy book
$300
Webcam
Laptop case

I'm having a party on the 9th. You're all invited so don't say I didn't think of you all.

The big programming job I talked about last blog is pretty much done, just finishing up little things. My 'boss' is on vacation for the weekend though so I don't have to do any work. Wee.

Yeah, it's short. But...
1. I'm awesome
2. It's my birthday
3. I'm awesome
4. Also, cocks

Noob Page and Job
Posted on June 23, 2008 at 20:25

So I added the noob page to the site.
Noob Page
You can add your own noobs if you want to. Enjoy it.

So I got a phone call from my friend's mom the other day. She said that someone she knew needed a programmer for something and it could be big. So he called me and he needed someone to make 4 web pages for him for this new company. We talked on the phone for a bit and scheduled a meeting for today.

So we met at Applebee's and he told me his idea. All I can tell you is that it has to do with VOIP dealing with international customers, I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. To make a long story short, I get 10% company profits, make 75% of what he does, and be lead programmer. If we only get 1% of the user base to sign up for the service, I would make a minimum of $100,000 a year. For 1%. I shit myself. He's estimating at least 10%, that's an extremely conservative amount(it's a very popular idea). That's a million. He said I'd have a few nice cars by Christmas.

So I'm working on the sites already. He expected about a few months to complete them, I told him I'd have them done in a week or so. If you're asking why me? He wanted someone local(he's only 40mins away), someone he has connections to, and someone without a degree. Why not a degree? A degree doesn't show much. All it says is that you went to school. It doesn't show that you love to do it, which I do and will get it done fast as opposed to a veteran programmer who will take a while to do it.

So, I might be rich by the end of the year =D

pendarenstudios.com

Yep, I finally bought my own domain and hosting. And for only $40 a year so I'm happy =)
Pendaren Studios

The site is a simplistic version, unlike my last attempts at making a website if any of you remember. It only includes my games(some .gm6 versions), and my examples, most of them remade with new graphics and commented code.

There's a shoutbox so people can leave me a message, I might change how it works though, it's a bit limited in space.

I just created a poll function(well, many functions included in many files), so don't forget to vote.

As you can see, there are ads on the site, but like it says most are temporary. I'm just testing to see which work the best. Clicking them will put your computer in no harm, it will only give me a small amount of money, so feel free to click them. You don't have to even care about what it is, just help me out =)

That's about it, enjoy the site!

This is probably short, but oh well.
