Wow Disney owns a lot more than I thought they did, I didn't even know they owned Pixar and ABC.

One of two things is going to happen: either all of the Marvel characters are going to be desecrated through cheesy franchises or Disneyland is going to become an awesome place to visit. Who knows, this change could actually be good, we're just gonna have to wait and see...

...But still, imagine how hard it's gonna be for people to reshape their associations with Disney and its numerous cheesy franchises (such as Disney Princess and Hannah Montana). Either that or they can just ignore the Disney-Marvel merger and get on with their lives (given that nothing changes at all).

And yes, I am trying to think positively of the situation. I don't support the merger myself, though. But hey, what can you do besides hoping that Disney won't screw things up?

They said they would honor all deals that marvel has made, so stuff like Iron Man 2 wont be affected.

Companies like Disney are the kind of thing that makes people hate Capitolism and America. I can't blame them, honestly.

Anyway, here's some of what Disney is planning to come out with:

Super Man-tana: Everyone's favorite pop-hero is back. Can he manage to live two lives. (And isn't it odd how no one recognizes him, despite the fact that he doesn't wear a mask?)

Incredible the Hulk: Everyone's favorite cuddly green "bear" is ready for adventure in the 100-mile city!

X-men of Waverly Place: The X-men are just typical teenage mutants who fight crime, and like to tell juicy stories at slumber parties. ("Did you hear who Beast is dating? OMG! INORITE?")

Gotham City Musical: Bruce is a teenage corporate executive who has an uncontrollable urge to sing every time something interesting comes up in conversation. Soon everyone in Gotham joins the fun.

Batman is DC, not Marvel... well i saw this coming since disney bought up the rights to show all marvel cartoons on their own disney channel (DXD).

As you can see Disney doesn't have anything original so they are buying up everything & re-releasing them to collect on cult followings. People bought all 3 versions of the Little Mermaid, imagine when it hits on Blu-Ray with a new song by a random famous pop idol at the time. Lets put it this way...X-Men & Spider-Man 90's cartoons will never see the DVD Boxsets anytime soon. They will milk this until people start hating it.

Oh well, I could care less about Marvel, they destroyed their franchise long ago... same with Disney but that's a whole different story.

stupid. You should be mad at Marvel, not Disney. Nobody forced Marvel to sell out to Disney. They did it for the money.

Wait... what's wrong if Disney bought Marvel? In my opinion, their golden age has passed ages ago, especially since they started producing films like... *shudder* Iron Man. But how does Disney owning Marvel change anything at all? The franchise and everything is pretty much set in stone

Well we can be we fairly sure the Marvel won't come in contact with the fetid hellspawn that is the Disney Music Group, at the very least.

You can be damn sure we'll see the Marvel equivalent of the Teen Titans, though - except it'll be really, really bad.

Also, companies that have a Marvel liscence should still have one - Disney can't just pretend those contracts never happened.

Good thing all I care about is batman and vertigo comics. However, even if I was a marvel fanboy, I wouldn't get too upset over this. Whats the worse that could happen? Marvel movies suck more.
