I personally don't have a Wii, but a couple days ago I got the chance to play one at my church because one of my youth leaders friends brought one. Personally, I already like the Wii, I could never get my hands on it because my mom doesn't like me staying up all night at some store to wait for a wii, but at a lan party, I got to play one.
On the wii, I got to play bowling and tennis on wii sports. I didn't think they were going to be that fun, but it was a blast ^_^. Bowling was much easier then it is in real life. I bowled a 204. Last night when I went bowling (not on Wii) I got a 101. The wii is much easier and you can throw the ball backwards into the crowd :). I kept releasing the 'B' trigger on the back and it kept giving me a stupid message on how to release the ball. Other than that, it was really fun. Tennis on the other hand I sucked at because I kept getting confused on which player was going to hit it. Tennis was still very fun though.
I know I only played the sports on the wii, but if I bet a lot of other games for the wii are really fun.
In my opinion, the Wii is probably the best console that is out there right now. Graphical quality is lower yes, but gameplay is way up there when it comes to the wii-mote. If you don't have one, you should get one.
Another thing that surprised me is that the wii is really small. I really thought it would be bigger than like an X-box, but it's like half the size. All that power of one console is in a tiny little box that you can carry anywhere ^_^.
If you are deciding on what system you want to get, you should really get the wii, it's much cheaper than all the other systems and just as fun, if not more.
Another cool thing is the wii-mote. That thing is a blue-tooth device that you can hack and use on your computer and use it to play games on. There is a video that shows someone playing counter-strike with the wii-mote. I forgot where the video was, but it was really cool. It would be really awesome to implement it into gm games :)
