The new GameMakerResource.com (2.1 beta) has now been released. GameMakerResource.com (as featured on the yoyogames site under resources - gmresource.jassinc.com) has 100s (over 300 links at the time of writing) of links to different websites with useful resources.
New to the system are
; Member Accounts that allow you to comment and rate websites as well as submit and manage your submitted sites. (submitted sites require approval). The new report system allows you to report dead links and incorrect information. Also new is the ability to search for the resources you are looking for using keywords.
Why Add Your Site?
GMR gets 100's of unique hits each day (we average 2,750+ a week) so if you want to have your own slice of those visitors add your site. Some sites have recieved close to 100 hits from GMR in the 2 days since I released the updated version of the site. Not bad for hardly doing anything!
GMR is built specifically for Game Maker users to find what they need. When I first created the site 2-3years ago I was getting frustrated with trying to find the resources I needed. Thus I created GMR. It wasn't long before Mark found the site useful also and he decided to add it to the Official Game Maker Site. Since then I have re-developed the site many times however only recently (a couple of days ago) I released the new version with Search, easy adding of sites, click counts, commenting and rating. So what are you waiting for? The links below...
I would like to have the hundreds of links grow to thousands so if your site isn't there, add it. If you know of one we don't have, add it. There is no limit to how many sites you can add!
Let me know your thoughts!

Randolf Needs Your Help To Save Christmas!
RTR: CE '06 is V1.3 of Randolf The Reindeer: Christmas Edition. It is the biggest ever upgrade of RTR: CE with tonnes of changes, additions and bug fixes. See Release Notes at the bottom of this post for a breif list of changes. Randolf The Reindeer: Christmas Edition is an adventure platformer with 45 different levels for you to work your way through. The first release (released in 2003) won 3 seperate competitions and had over 2000 downloads.
The evil Phanta Claws continues his mission to destroy christmas by stealing Santa and his elves. Itís up to Randolf to save christmas. Luckily Phanta Claws didnít realise he left a trail of elves to his hide out. Follow the elves and youíll soon find Phanta Claws.
In each level there are 5 elves waiting for you to find them. Find and collect all 5 elves in the level take them to the sled and the finsh will be unlocked. Be careful though, there are evil toys all over the lands. It only gets harder as you get closer to Phanta Claws.
The cheats and passwords for this version will be released shortly. All the cheats from previous versions still work in this version.
Game documentation with information about the enemies and power-ups coming soon. Watch this space.

Last Defence II - Exclusive Screeny
Posted on November 16, 2006 at 00:23
I normally don't tell people about upcoming games these days because they never get finished on time or at all. But I thought I would post a little screenshot from Last Defence II. It's got a long way to go before it will be finished so don't expect it any tme soon. We hope it will be out early next year or late this year. But time changes everything.
The Screenshot is pretty chaotic, I just created loads of men and clicked print screen. The actual game will be a lot cleaner.

You can Download the original which was release early 2004 at
You'll notice the new one is completely different because Game Maker has come a long way since 2003 (when work began on Last Defence).
Let me know your thoughts.
