The more you know. I know this site not only includes people from the US. I still wanted to let those who didn't know and live here know what's going on. And how they can try to stop this bill. To be honest, I know very little of this. But so far it doesn't sound like something I want passed.

yeah i've been following this for like a year now. the first attempt fell through i believe but this one is going to be voted on. this could be bad... i'm hoping they don't vote this shit in. it would destroy the internet. youtube, facebook, gameinformer, hell even YYG could be shut down since they all contain unlicensed use of copyrighted materials. it's not like the site owners can do much to moderate for such a thing. it's the site users that do this. you couldn't run a Youtube-like site and keep it 100% clean without banning everyone lol.
Quote: Kamira I wouldn't want to live anywhere that censored the internet. Have you considered immigration to Somalia? I'm not sure where you'd apply, seeing as they don't have, well, a government. Quote: umbra the supreme court will stop this bill in its tracks. The same supreme court that banned limits on corporate campaign donations? I'mnottoosureaboutthat. All we can hope for is that Google's lobbyists have more sway than do Viacom's. If not, then Tor save us all.
