3D Vector Engine
Create 3D wireframe shapes, as well as your own with the scripts provided, whether or not you're a registered GM user. Easy to use. A good start for beginners in 3D.

Now, included with the engine, is a demo game entitled "3D Tank". Fully commented throughout for beginners to understand how to work with the engine.

Wow pretty cool.

umm i think there is a bug in it somewhere... i somehow got myself into such a mess that the cube turned into an oblique octagonal shape...

There's an issue with pitching the camera, as of which I have yet to understand how to fix. Another bug, which thankfully is an easier issue to resolve, is that of the z values when drawing. Z values for now must be 10x larger than normal. I will fix this bug when I update the example.

Good. But I don't do 3D so I wouldn't have a clue how to use it...

Nice 3D stuff, but you might want to fix the few bugs. Also, it really lags on my computer in a very odd way (unresponsive to input)

I've updated the example, allowing z values to correspond to other coordinate values when drawing, rather than having to be 10x larger. I also cleaned up the drawing scripts, allowing for the extended camera init script to work.

Hero, while I was developing this example, it is true, it does lag. This is for two reasons. First, in order to simplify the number crunching GM is being told to do every frame, I should (as GearGod at the GMC has explained to me) multiply the vectors after converting the coordinates only once into 3D, and second, due to the high level nature of the GML language, crunching large amounts of numbers becomes a slower process as the workload increases, that is, as compared to a lower level programming language such as C++.

it looks good-but what are you suppsed to do with it?
8/10 because its easy to understand

With enough of an imagination, it has it uses. One of the original ideas I had when developing this was to make a Metal Gear Solid type game, where upon putting on special x-ray goggles, the world would be transformed from a top-down perspective to a 3D FPV, vector graphics world, enabling the player to "see" through the walls.

As of now, I'm developing a small demo game to go along with the example, as well as a manual to aid in understanding how to use the example for what its worth.

this engine is very good because normally it is hard to incorporate the mouse into 3D other than mouse-look, but now it isnt very hard, because you arnt really in 3D mode. 9/10.

That's fantastic! I hadn't even thought about using Yourself's script in that way! 10/10 for the idea alone. It's a well made example too.
