1. BUG: Sometimes the shield powerup stuck at the corner below. It's still grabbable though.
2. I see that you use x = mouse_x and y = mouse_y or something similar for the cursor in this game. The problem is you don't see where your mouse will move to when you pause. If you unpause the game, the cursor will simply move to another location and you don't know where and may likely to get hit. Another bad thing is the player can exploit this, if he is surrounded, he can pause the game, teleport his cursor out of there. Moreover, the player can move the cursor out of the game's screen, and not get hit at all. This is the major flaw of the game. I highly recommend that you fix this.
3. If you click on the top-right part of the screen (the red cursor), it makes you go to the high score and restart the game. That can interrupt the player and can make some frustration. Why do you put that thing there anyway? Remove it, since the ESC key did the same job.
4. At first, the game is mundane when there's only white rings, but it gets more interesting after there are more colored rings. I suggest you speed up the beginning a little bit more.
5. By having a not replenishable health, and having to gain highest score as much as possible, this game becomes addictive. I really like how you design it since the concept is simple, yet addicitve just like some games of the old NES days. It would be really cool if we can have this game on mobile phone.
6. Even you tell the people about the health bar, fire power, etc. in help file, it would be better to have some clarification. Eg. text saying "health" above the healthbar. I don't believe that this is overkill, since it's always better to have a clarification no matter how simple/obvious it is.

I will give you 8/10. The thing that hurts the rating badly is the major flaw in number 2 above, as this allows one to "cheat" by exploiting the flaws.

My score: 250,523

Keep it up, pal. This game is really good, but not yet perfect. There are still rooms for improvements.
