I enjoyed editing and tweaking SpectreNectar's inverted shadow engine so much I've decided to turn it into something a little more "meaty". I've developed some ideas for example spriteless ambient light (generated using primitives) and shadow removal where a shadow collides with a caster. Arrow keys move the light and it always faces the mouse. Left click produces a flash of light.

Could you rate it once you've done. I'd like to claim it got 10/10 when I post it on the GMC! Thank you ^_^

It took me a while, but I finally figured out what looks wrong.
the shadow appears where there is ambient light.

I surrounded the box with ambient lights, but the ambient lights cast shadows over the other ambient lights.

Is this a bug, or on purpose?

The ambient lights don't cast shadows, only the mouse one does as I can't really be bothered to program lots of lights in. The ambient lights only light up shadow casters and the ground - and only the ground when it is directly visible.

And thanks for explaining the deltadir thing SpecterNectre! I should now be able to understand the code lol!
