Twinsen
Twinsen is a game that focuses on the main character, Twinsen, in his home world after it is greatly altered by evil alien TV network executives. He sets off to find out what is going on, how to return his planet to its normal state, and to be reunited with his family.

Graphics: .TakaM
Coding: Cocopuffs

Note: I will be editing this topic for the upcoming updates, so it may be a good idea to track it if you would like to see them.

Controls:
X: Attack (Menus: select)
Z: Jump (Menus: back)
C: Throw Magic Ball
Shift: Run
Arrows: Move
Enter: Pause (Menus: Select/skip cutscene)
F4: Toggle Full Screen

There's advanced combo moves that you'll have to figure out on your own.

There's also a super secret secret cheat hidden, I doubt anyone will find, but it's in there.

wow very slick, I like the graphics!
He walks pretty slow though, but I like the style of it.
One of the best gm made games I've played.

O_O O_O ..............WOW! That was SO sweet! I loved the whole bit! Or as "The Dude" would say: FUCKING Ay!! Loved graphics, gameplay, style, feel, controls, the moves, the magic ball was also very well made, the combo's where cool, and god I even loved the transitions!! It looked and felt like a GBA game (also because of the size :P) and I gues It wont do bad on a GBA. I don't give a 10 to soon but for this game I am willing to make an exeption! (And its still a wip so It wil even be better!!) 10/10 ps: I will track... love to see more levels, powerups, enemies, etc

I love the game so far. After a few tries, I was able to complete the first level. It seems to be at the perfect difficulty: Took a few tries to get started, but I was determined to finish and eventually did. I know you can't take credits for the graphics, but they're excellent; the numerous animations make the game come alive. The music seemed fitting, nice, and calm. One of my favorite aspects was the possibility to interact with nearly every aspect of the game (for instance, slicing at plants to clear the way). The menus were simple and easy to navigate.

The only thing I disliked was the controls. Maybe my hands are bad at multitasking, but I could not hold shift, jump, and attack at the same time. Also, I prefer using the 'up' arrow key to jump. Fortunately, while navigating through the menu, I saw that you're eventually going to add the ability to customize the controls. I can't wait.

Great work so far. This is on my watch list.

Ok, thanks for all the comments. This won't be updated to often, I imagine, the next update will be called "The Second Season", featuring the custom controls, a new cutscene, more levels/enemies, hopefully a boss, and more junk we havn't thought of yet.

The jumping that alot of people seem to complain about wont be changed too much, but the walking off a cliff thing will be changed. The walking speed is slow, but there a run option when you hold [SHIFT]. You kill the plants with the magic ball (you can knife 'em then), don't know how many of you got stuck on that, but someone was complaining about it.

I'll be on vacation for the next week, so I won't be able to reply, just keep that in mind.

Simple yet amazing. Fix the laggy shadows and it would be perfect.

Eh? The game didn't lag on my computer at all. And my computer is slower than death.

Death could run on his hands backwards faster than my computer.

Using a personification of death to describe the speed of your computer? Pathetic, Kaz. Pathetic.

Enjoyable. Though, honestly, it doesn't appear perfect; the controls are a bit confusing (especially jumping when you reach an end of a height level, causing you to fall into water - GRRR), and the combat looks great, but has little actual use. You can't use combo moves on the plants because you get hurt yourself before you end the move.

The graphics are lovely.

Graphics are veeery nice, but somehow I don't like the gameplay. I don't know why :S And only thing that bugged me in graphics, was those houses that can be seen in that preview pic. They don't look so good when comparing to other graphics :/

K,so something that really bugs me is when a game says PRESS START,it really should say PRESS ENTER
Moving was a little too slow...and jumping was just weak
The clouds...I always saw them as moving even if the player didn't
Liked the foreground cloud

Does it have more than 1 level?

That had a very nice graphical style, but the physics were way off. It was still cool, and although it's really small, it's nice.
