Fip's Adventure
A little circle goes on an adventure through this platform/puzzle game. There are 20 levels, and you use powers throughout the game to help you advance to the next level.

Target platforms:

I think the concept is good, it's just got really irritatingly unresponsive controls and odd "music" :P

really weird music... and was this drag and drop? because I got some unresponsive controls... I like the power ups and how you need to use them in a certain order to move on, thats a good concept. This would be a really good platform game, if I got the responsive controls I dearly need when it comes to jumping up ledges or over spikes, and get some music that doesn't hurt... 5/10

Super buggy platform engine man. Fix it.

Also, in some of the wrapping levels, I could wrap sideways and finish easy. Also, I got the letter, but what do I do?

Really buggy platform engine, other than that, nice and simple graphics, and good concept.

I'm sorry, but this is almost as bad as MY first platform engine. (XD) Learn GML, you can make SO much better platform engines in coding than you ever can in Drag and Drop! This engine is clearly made with drag and drop, simple drag and drop at that. You slow down in the air when moving left to right! One of the more annoying things is that you have a vertical wrap set up, but not a horizontal one, which makes it easy to get in a spot where you don't know where you are, and have to spend two minutes getting back. The graphics were alright, they had a good style, except for that ugly out of place "Goal". That music was... Irritating to say the least... Good graphics just aren't enough to save this game though, it's just too glitchy. I recommend you turn off precise collision checking on the character sprite too by the way. Anyway, the score:

Gameplay: 4/10
Graphics: 8/10
Sound/Music: ...
Overall: 6/10

it's odd that u have an above average rating on this game yet everybody says it's bad. it's decent at most but does need work

at the letter level, you need to press the letter on the keyboard

yeah beat the game ^_^

if you press enter in the credits it creates the credit writing object again...

also, try to fix the movement in the levels that don't require glitching...

Music fit with the glitchy movement...
Didn't really like it untill I could use the crappy movement to my advantage

8/10 because I found this game quite fun.

Hey, buddy, I'm going to be honest here and give some constructive criticism. Don't give up, though, it wasn't terrible.

Graphics: Eh...not bad. The character had some shading on him, but everything was pretty simplistic, especially the spikes, which I find are a very common first game obstacle. Overall, the graphics were just decent.

Music: Like _Player_ said, the music fit well with the clunky movement. It was enough to tell me that this was less of a story and more of a quirky game. The lack of sound added to that.

Story: What was Fip doing risking his life for nothing? Does he do this kind of stuff for fun? All games need some kind of concept or story, and I'm sorry to say this story was nonexistent. Since it's a first and a simple little game, I'm not going to put it at zero.

Gameplay: This was so terribly thought-out, that I got frustrated with it. Using powerups in cooperation with each other was a slightly creative method, but the outside wrap bit made things a lot worse. Simplistic platforming with clunky controls made this a lot less fun than it could've been.

Controls/Movement Engine: I'm sorry to say this was the worst part of the game. Moving to the side caused a slow in vertical speed, which could be used to cheat a bit, though extremely inefficient. The outside wrap bit was also terribly thought-out, as you could very easily fall through the bottom or sides and get to the goal with no trouble at all. Apart from that, just jumping through the top and coming through the bottom onto the spikes was frustrating.

All I can say is REALLY work on that platform engine. There are plenty of platform examples that will make the game somewhat more interesting.

Sorry to give you this, but use it as criticism and make it better next time, okay? ;)

Overall Score:5/10

It did have terrible physics... But it was a good concept.

Meh, the concept being a platformer with a little round guy jumping around with no point in life. I'd say it could use some improvement. =/

The gameplay idea was good. fix the movement and stuff and give it a story or something and it'd be a lot better. 4/10

Good graphics, but you need to work on the controls and that was some annoying music 6/10

Quite good for a first game, and alot better than most of the other crap out there ;). I'm gonna give it a 7/10 as it's your first game, the concept is great, but please, change the music and make the engine better.
