This is a mostly complete engine for the game but I will upload a different version with a lot of extra content at a later date... If I remember. :P

Controls are in the screenshot links. Have fun.

EDIT: To everyone saying it's too hard/you run out of ammo: Pick up the candy you get from killing zombies and if you run through zombies in ghost mode they drop infinite amounts of candy.

Ammo runs out way too quickly :(, couldn't kill anything.

You kill enemies and use the candy they drop to kill more. >_>
If you run out of ammo, run though the zombies in ghost mode and you'll scare some candy out of them.

i thought it was agreed there would be no zombie shooters

anyway, interesting concept, but its a little hard when you are so inaccurate.

You just reminded me that I forgot to download WinRAR.

Heh, when I first saw this was a zombie shooter, I nearly put it down, but this was kind of fun.

The graphics and effects looked great. The gameplay was interesting and unique. The accuracy bit added a challenge to it. There was only one problem. The ghost mode was a bit overpowered.

Here's Why (Show)
When you're about to die, activate it, camp a ghost, and come out just long enough to pick up candy. Then round them up.

If this were something you'd keep working on (which obviously it's not), I'd suggest having either a timer for ghost form, a cooldown, or both. And you can't regenerate in ghost form. Not being able to pick up candy was good though.

Other than that, there were some extra bits that I appreciated. For one, they couldn't stack on each other. For another, your health regenerated (though overpowered with ghost form). It kept me occupied for a good amount of time.

Fun game. Great for such a short time period. I think zombie shooters are terrible, but this was amusing. 9/10

kinda interesting, but its hard to control in ghost mode, and even harder to try to get all the candy before it disappears. :/

the sprites were pretty cool though.

I'm actually going to flesh this game out and re-release it next year as Zombiween 2011.

Also, Kilin, I'm going to keep it that way because I'm going to add in bosses and stronger enemies that it would be almost impossible to do without. :)

I'm going to make this game harder because it's too easy for me right now.

I got to wave 6 and stopped because it was getting old pretty fast. I got a score of 235050. Good sprites but few, but it's silly to ask for more of a game that was rushed for a compo. The gameplay was repetitive as all I had to do was make a circle, but none the less it kept me on my toes and you were able to keep the action continuously flowing, so much to the point that I didn't have a chance to move my crossed legs. Now I have one leg asleep, CURSES!
8/10 for what it is.

Thanks for the input. I feel like Ferret is the only one who got how I intended it to be played. But that is more of a fault on my part for not making it simplistic enough, I guess?

It was good, but needs more ammo. I ran out and only killed one guy. Plus power-ups are a must, and new types of enemies over time.. o.O
