Quite Buggy, I'de look up the platform tutorial on the GM website, I still use the same basic system for all my platform games. Anyways, keep making games and you'll be good in no time.
And I can see you have trouble thinking up names too, (Mines called "Putty-Man".)
Rock on, man.

[:)] Well, just remember that I happen to still be a major noob at GM, so don't blame me, blame the fact that I don't take the time to look up the GML for everything and make everything tip-top.

Isee youv'e learned a little gml.
"normally I make crappy stuff" me to.
how much crap have you made and how long have you been using gm?
^^it would be for a relitive rating scale, ot for 64 digits.
I would say 7/10 on a relitive scale, 4/10 as a gm completed game, 6/10 as an example.
there's a little bit of stuff you need to pick up from the platform tutorials(1).

Check out Pixelworld - it has an included gm6 file that shows how it was all done.
6/10 for a first comleted and hosted game. I did like the character sprite.

well then, not too bad, but i noticed a horde of problems. you should start out with using the platformer tutorial rather than to learn it from me by watching. http://www.gamemaker.nl/tutorial.html
it'll help you out loads. [:)]
