I was trying to figure out a way to make a platform character swing with a robe in his hands and so I found this:
<a style="text-decoration:underline overline;background:#ff0080;" href="
-and converted it to gml. Unfortunately I couldn't really use it for that (maybe I should try examining pendulums).
But if you can use this for maybe a visual effect or something then that's cool...
*edit: hurray someone voted.. this reminds me to mention that you can turn the wind off by pressing W. It's not very nice anyway...
I've been messing around with bezier splines and I used them to draw my rope. If you think the original was anything you'll love this it looks so smooooth.

Hey, that's pretty nifty. Kinda useless, but nifty.

Exellent question! Uhm.... I guess I'd have to say that I didn't know the english word for 'rubber band' at the time of writing.. would that be better?

Useless? This is fucking sweet, put some work on it and you can use it in a platformer game =D

Hey, pretty cool! It would be better if you integrated those little pegs from Radnom Games's platform example.

its pretty cool, i like how i can lay it on the ground and quickly raise and lower the end and the wave goes thru the entire rope, its pretty realistic. 9/10

Pretty awesome, but the bezier version doesn't act as realisticaly.
