ok, sum ppl said the WIP version i posted (which had an editable version in it) didnt work. so i fixed it as best as i could. and 1 other thing... you need gm6... of course... and you need to have a regestered version of game maker.

Matsjiht commented March 01, 2007 at 11:42 AM
7MB!!?
gtvg commented March 01, 2007 at 6:29 PM
Gah! It took about a minutes to download because 64 really slows my dl speed. I think its worth downloading. I like seeing the pieces of Storm Trooper all over the ground.
9/10
Iluvfuz commented March 01, 2007 at 8:04 PM
I'm going to rate 9/10 because it sounds cool. Still downloading...

I liked it. Nice example for some good platformers.
9/10 for this.
You gotta love that.
noshenim commented March 02, 2007 at 12:23 AM
oh you have to extract it even with winrar.
9/10, neat.
Crane-ium commented March 02, 2007 at 1:22 AM

thnx

This pretty much looks like you just changed the sprites of that GM physics w ragdoll platform example on the GMC and added a few things and changed the background and level design. Its not working on this computer, so I'll rate it later on my cousin's computer.
Game_Genius commented March 09, 2007 at 4:53 PM
I have disagree with naruto101a, it looks pretty origanal.
DarkSoulcalibur commented March 10, 2007 at 5:01 PM
Actually, naruto is partly right. I did use the example but I upgraded it. I took the ragdoll code and changed it to something smaller and easier so that it also takes up less mb. The game took 11mb when I got it. I got it down to 7mb. Basically there was a lot of useless stuff that wasnt needed that i was able to take out without ruining the physics. I also changed the blur effect so it would be slower and you could see it longer. Yesterday, I was working with it a little and I got it down to 5mb. Plus I'm not taking credit for this. I even have "give credits" to the people who made the ragdoll physics in it. Which was Justin Halek and Coderchris. So it is thier example but I upgraded it and made it a lot easier to convert if someone wanted to have it with gm5.

Oh and the life bar thing i made to... Which is the dumbest way to make a life bar but also very easy and I was in a hurry. lol
ZeroSoul commented March 11, 2007 at 12:45 PM
Oh, I see now. This is pretty cool. I didn't even test it out before, I judged it by the sprites and how that thing looked up in comment #6. Now that I've tested it on my little cousin's computer, which by the way seems actually much better than mine, the coding seems a bit different. Anyways, I'll have to rate it now. 9/10. By the way, are you still working on that halo game?
ZeroSoul commented March 11, 2007 at 12:47 PM
Sorry about my first comment. Sometimes I'm very err...blunt and judgemental about these things. When I see something that I suspect is a copy of something else, I'll say it without really testing it. Bad habit of mine, I'm sorry.
DarkSoulcalibur commented March 11, 2007 at 7:12 PM
kinda... Im still working with it a little but I'm working more on a top down rpg example... but if you still wanna do that partner ship thing, I'm still here to help. :)

P.S
I should be done with the example sometime during the spring break.
ZeroSoul commented March 11, 2007 at 11:33 PM
That's ok, I'm almost done with the demo so perhaps we could work on the full version together. I'll be looking forward to seeing your example. It sounds cool. But theres one thing I don't get. What does semi-3d mean? (based on what you said on your blog.) I don't get the part that says "when moving backwards".
DarkSoulcalibur commented March 13, 2007 at 3:28 PM
almost 3D. Like a 3D game is a game that everything is 3D. A semi-3D game is a game that is like fake 3D. (like that fake 3D top down example)-thats semi-3D.

Adalas commented May 21, 2007 at 9:44 PM
I didn't really like the fact that it lags if you kill to many enemies at once. But coool engine. 8/10
Adalas commented May 21, 2007 at 9:45 PM
Oh and please try to make it download faster. It took my computer lkie 12 minutes to download.
