Hover Ferarris - Racing

Alright, I've just pretty much been messing with this all morning, and I figured why not release it here, its pretty cool, and a lot of people can learn from it. It uses percsich.hu's Simple Racing AI example as a base, and I edited the hell out of that. It also uses one of his low-poly cars. Thanks to Abacus for the d3d_model_draw_ext() script. And Yourself for the 3D to 2D conversion script. Also thnx to WfSephir for the draw_path textured() script, I used that to make the track image, so the image and the path matched perfectly. Finally SpectreNecar for the nice delta_dir() script which helped with the tilting around corners. So, this really isn't an example but I'm sure a lot of people can learn from this just by tearing it apart. Sorry for how sloppy everything is. I never predicted that I'd be putting this on the site.

Controls---

Space: Switch between "Trackview" and "InCar Action" modes.
Up: Raise camera when in "Trackview" mode.
Down: Lower camera when in "Trackview" mode

so, have fun tearing it apart, If anyone makes anything really cool with it, plz credit me and everyone else that I stated above. (Superdevon4, percsich.hu, Abacus, SpectreNectar, Yourself (no not you) and WfSephir)

yeah i know, i was just messin around, ill update it sometime with a car that you can drive.

oh yeah, forgot, "R" makes it restart.

Other than that, nice, save for a bit of lag (but I have a slow computer)

You should have health for the vehicles, like everytime they crash they lose life and once theres no more life they explode.

I don't have the registered version but by the sounds of your comments you did a good job. I guess a lot of you are figuring out the 3d works.

cool 9/10 but those wernt Ferarris, they kinda resembles Lamborghini Countachs though.

Very Nice! A good example, and fun to watch. Some nice 3D and a great choice of car.

Suggestions for an upcoming release:
Car health system (previously mentioned)
Scenery
Smoother around turns
Turning camera left and right
Betting on which car will win
Online racing/betting
Speed boosts
Hovering over different surfaces (water, lava, ect...)
Car control (previously mentioned)
Hovering higher or lower
Using power-ups (shield, guns ect...)
Car upgrades
Car transformation (for water, ground ect...)

You could take this all in a ton if different directions. Dont make it a car combat sim, I was just throwing out ideas. Great job again.

i wish i had thought to compile it all in a script when I started working on AotE. I had to code each limb individually for AotE.

@Lethal: it already hovers higher or lower, the faster it goes, the higher it is, its just not too obvious, pay attention to the begging though, when they speed up, they rise.

Is this going to be updated to the point of were u said "im working on making it so you can do that now." after wommel said he wished u would make it so u can drive a car... so r u going to do that any time soon?
