Battle and think your way through this retro platformer, and remember: all is not as it seems. Made for Won the Cpsgames.net Retro Contest. Have fun.

Already played it, found it fun. I got stuck on the boss, though. It causes a logical paradox. D:

8/10

Very nice it is. I like the twists you have in the story, it keeps it interesting.

This happens when I press escape
ERROR in
action number 1
of Key Release Event for <no key> Key
for object tri_breakit:

Error reading real.

Otherwise good game so far, I'll rate when I finish it (all this lateral thinking is hurting my brain)

Heh, I had pressed escape just at the end of the game (found out after trying again and deleting the save file, as loading the game would give the same error).

A rather short game, but good.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

@Dilbertguy: That's interesting, you're the first person who's got stuck on the boss. Try shooting his shots when they get near you.

@Sinistrade: Damnit! These kinds of errors keep cropping up in the newly uploaded version of my games! I'll see if I can replicate it, and then try fix it.

Played this before it was here, yet sadly I still can't figure out how to make a big jump near the beginning of the game. Hmm.

Still, what I have played of it seems really good, and I even like the music and graphics for what they are.

Very nice, I still remember this and how much of a headache it gave me. Love the credits.

Really neat, The music totally makes it though, its some of the best music I've ever heard. Just wish it had better graphics. =P

Ooooh snap, that site is gonna get a lot of visits from me. XD

That was uhh...interesting. I expected Serprex to make something like this. I only played it for about ten or fifteen minutes, but I have to say it was pretty clever.

There are only two complaints I have. One is in the red level where you have to kill everything to pass. If you miss anything, you can't go back, and "SAVE" or "HELP" don't work much.
The other complaint is your variable jumping. I understand that it works based on key release, but it seems a bit flawed. It wouldn't matter so much if the rest of the physics in your game were less precise than Game Maker's defaults.

Other than that, I liked the puzzles. And the music, yes, the music. The rest made me laugh.

9/10 for you.

Obviously, "SAVE" and "HELP" weren't supposed to work much. The game is saved at the beginning of every level, and giving hints just didn't feel right somehow.

The variable jumping flaws are probably (hopefully) due to the state of my platform engine back when I made this. Perhaps I aught to upgrade it.

You make a good point about that level. I should redesign it a bit, or maybe get rid of a few of the enemies.

Just go over all of the solutions and things the player might do while you design a level. I also didn't notice a level reset system, so if I missed it, then my bad.

But again, that was a clever little game. Too bad SAVE and HELP only worked once. Maybe twice. It's been a few days.
