This is just an engine test for my new game. So in order for me to perfect it, I must get feedback. So, yeah.

Controls:

Right click: Select
Q: Deselect
W/A/S/D: Move selected
Left click: Shoot
Mouse wheel up/down - brightness control
(other controls are explained)

I am adding more features to the engine to make it ready for level building, so this is just the bare skeleton.

Includes:
Movement/Shooting
Health/Ammo
Selection of units
Info on mouseover (just about any object)
Boxes!
Health (medkit)/Ammuntion packs

I got my inspiration from the Deus Ex series, because they are awesome!

it's pretty cool but I wasn't sure who to control. The white tank or the black tank things. Any way it's a good game and the finished product should be sweet.

You can control any one of them. It is meant to be a squad.

Thought about making a command engine? Then you could direct your troops and not have to control them independantly.

That would make it more of an RTS... sort of straying away from the idea I had in mind.

as for q being deselect, you should make select and deselect right moues button. Just do a "If selected = true" thing

hehe, just a global right mouse...

It's a good engine. I like the controls, and the laser sight is pretty funky.

Maybe you could put some kind of flash-light thing in it? that'd be cool.

Ok, if you think that it's too RTSy having no command system, then at least make sure your squad can fire back at the enemy.

...Yeah, I'll implement some idle AI to later demos.
