This is what happens when you're BORED. >:(

Meh, simple. It still just draws the text so you still have to watch out for the lengh of the string. Also doesn't need to be in the draw event.

So yeah.

<h1 align="center">ONLY WORKS ON GM5</h1>

I could never code this...good job. 10/10

PS: I'm bored. Still.

It's pretty useful, I give it a 8/10.

It works with GM 5 - but how would you make the script work for GM 6? Greaty Example, I have GM5+6 on my computer and openind your file in GM 5 and I really liked it. I was trying to do something like this with the use of views in a room, but you got it to work with views, great work!! 10/10

I'm going to work on a version for gm6 now.

Thanks very much!
thepharaoh commented December 25, 2006 at 5:24 AM
I'll use it for sure in my big game probably gonna be "released" onto the web this spring.
NeutralReiddHotel commented December 25, 2006 at 7:10 AM
I'll try, I've never used Gm6 before...
thepharaoh commented December 25, 2006 at 7:11 AM
How would you do it, i know I talk too much but I want to learn, if you wanted to have a picture inside the rectangle? Kind of like changing the message box picture, but inside your rectangle. I kind of have an idea. But I don't know if would work, I'll try it and see what happens.
thepharaoh commented December 25, 2006 at 7:24 AM
Oh. Well GM 6 has more features than the version 5 does.
NeutralReiddHotel commented December 26, 2006 at 6:02 PM
I should have just reported you for downrating, but I'm nice.
(Darksouldipshit downrated my example 1/10 because baby wants gm6 still)
Mat commented December 27, 2006 at 12:46 PM
Russelwoot dont rate things just because they look cool in a screenshot
thepharaoh commented December 27, 2006 at 5:42 PM
Aren't you still going to make it for Game Maker 6? Just wondering.
thepharaoh commented December 27, 2006 at 5:42 PM
I guess I could also try to convert your example to GM 6, I'll work on it sometime.
DarkSoulcalibur commented December 30, 2006 at 11:13 AM
stupid... no offense to ur example... i just hate every example that uses the dum OLD gamemaker... gm6 is way better...
NeutralReiddHotel commented January 02, 2007 at 6:09 AM
Well, maybe you'd think for a while that the only reason I didn't make this Gm6 was that I couldn't use it now.

Yeah, thinking hurts for you maybe, but try it sometime.

It works now, so I'll work on a version for gm6, but shut up about it.
thepharaoh commented January 04, 2007 at 5:48 AM
I kind of figured it out, but it's a little different than yours is. It involes too many objects, don't ask.

This looks like the Example that Twisterghost used for his BBQ Games.

He never gave out the editable, he used gm6, his is different.
This is gm5, this is my own coded from scratch, this is my version.
Candra Software commented January 10, 2007 at 2:14 AM
Could you please make this into a GM6 Version? That would really be appreciated.
Candra Software commented January 10, 2007 at 2:15 AM
And by looking at your first comment for this example, it seems like you've voted on your own example by comment (not by actual rating).
NeutralReiddHotel commented January 19, 2007 at 6:22 AM
K, I'll quit being lazy and start to work on a gm6 version. The reason that I don't want to is that my computer still sucks, so gm6 lags when starting using up all my RAM.

So yeah, I'll get a gm6 version now.
Ph0x commented April 08, 2007 at 8:59 PM
omg youve never used gm6 before???????
NeutralReiddHotel commented May 19, 2007 at 4:53 AM
nope
Zac1790 commented January 28, 2008 at 8:42 PM
GM5 works on nearly every Windows machine... except Crapstaimeanvista
GM6 works on every Windows machine with an >ok gfx card except Vista
GM7 only works on 2000, XP, and Vista with good gfx cards

Conclusion: GM5 pwns

And this is extremely easy to convert :P
