A short, first attempt at bullet hell, and a little bit of playing with lines. Lines don't hurt you but the little squares do, so avoid them at all costs.

Two day experiment with drawling lines and stuff.

Kinda hypnotic, I like. Seems like it is impossible to die though, or maybe it takes a lot of hits?

Destruction of bullets should happen once their partner bullet is off screen too
Name shouldn't have to be reentered
The boss was too easy, especially once I figured out I could move left and right
The sections were long, the first part could use some more enemy formations and stuff flying through or something
The lines made the bullets patterns prettier though, that's for sure

Quite a bit of fun, this game is.
Some suggestions:
-If the mouse is too far right, make the cursor visible.
-Make the final score the maximum score achieved, so the game is more forgiving (which is good)
-use x<-1024 or simular instead of x<0 to destroy the bullets.
-If there is no penalty for shooting for a long time, make the shooting automatic

Constructive criticism:
-The boss was much easier to beat than the first three fighters
-Hard to see where the acual bullet is
-Bounding box is not specified graphicly (I don't think)

Pros:
-No obvious bugs with movement (yay!)

Doesn't show very much evidence of very much effort, but, meh.

7/10 for a very smooth movement engine and nice graphics. Pleasent music.

I looked at the screenshot and this game really doesn't look bad at all. In fact, it looks great! I'll download it and tell you what I think.

I kinda like it, yet it's tedious and repetitive. Nice patterns though.

im not a fan of bullet hells, but there are a few things that really need improvement.

i agree with serprex, and _player_. I also want to add that if you move to the right and it stops you, the mouse should stay there instead of having to move it all the way back. like, use window_mouse_set(boundary+1,mouse_y); if it is past the boundary.

other than that it was okay, the boss was kinda easy but good, and the enemies were hard because there were a lot of bullets, but your bullets did not shoot straight...

It's nice, and well-made, but I have a few gripes.

* The vibrating text is kinda annoying, and difficult to read.
* The score is far too faint to be seen properly.
* Would be nice if the ship moved a little faster.
* It gets quite dull after a while.

When playing this game, I don't really *feel* like I'm playing it, like my bullets are doing anything, like the enemies' bullets are doing anything. This game just isn't immersive, and doesn't really give satisfying feedback.

However, the bullet patterns are a nice idea, and the graphical style is great, so it's not all bad. Keep working on it.

hmm, the mouse doesn't seem very sensitive, and the menu is hard to read.
