https://www.humblebundle.com/gamemaker-bundleYou can get GM Pro and the OSX, Android and HTML5 modules for $15Charity optional
I already bought this a few days ago since I figured it would be nice to have the HTML5 module. I've been meaning to experiment with it for a while now.
Yep, grabbed that sweet, sweet HTML5 module as well. The Sierra bundle also looks pretty cool. Lots of classic adventure games for another $15.https://www.humblebundle.com/sierra-bundle
Yeah I've been meaning to experiment too. Will be great for prototyping game ideas and showing people easily
Good deal for getting GM:S for those who are still on 8. Very much impressed with it, especially after getting YYC compiling. The performance gains are amazing.
Does this bundle come with the YYC compiler? I didn't notice it in the list.
Hm, maybe not. It might be bundled in Studio Pro, though, which is what they offer. I don't remember which I bought, but I certainly did not get the master collection.
Hmm. I dunno. I remember specifically resolving to not ever buy that particular module, just because the cost/benefit ratio seemed really out of whack for my needs (I consider the iOS, Android and HTML5 modules the only really worthwhile ones). I also remember Pro not coming with any extra modules. But I bought it quite a while ago.
Weird. Maybe I bought YYC for windows separately. Either way, it has given my game a solid +300fps since compiling with it, which is nice to know so that I can up some of the particle effects pretty drastically and keep it nice.I have my game (foolishly) running at 120 steps/sec, so preserving a good framerate is critical, but its oh-so-smooooooth.
Seems they're bundling the YYC compiler with other modules these days. That's a good move, because while
I wish we had had this thing over seven years ago when I last time used Game Maker…I remember when I was a kid, the full version of Game Maker (version 6.x) cost… $15-20? I never got it because my father was unwilling to pay anything via PayPal, and I didn't want to use a pirate version. That program has gotten a bit more expensive since that.
