Yup, it's me again, Vanhelsing, bringing you a small demo of a B&W shooter game, featuring 5 enemies, 1 boss, and 2 different ship types!

CONTROLS:

Left and right arrow keys - move left and right
spacebar - shoot
F4 - switch from fullscreen to a window
(The below features are only temporary, and will be removed, after I get powerups built in.)
minus - switch weapon type (blaster to bombs)
plus - increase weapon level (NOTE: there's only 4 upgrades, so if you press plus 5 times, it won't shoot at all, just so you know.)

Known problems

-Occasionally, the music might hiccup
-You can't die yet, so get beat up as much as you want
-You can't see your score yet, so to see your score, you'll have to press F4 and make the screen into a window to view your score.

If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to suggest them, and note that this is EXTREMELY early, and I've only gotten 2 hours of production in on this game, so don't expect it to rock your world or anything.

~Vanhelsing~

Its whatever for two hours work. But I'll give this an 8 because of its potential.

Not bad, I like the chain explosions.
V commented July 21, 2007 at 8:16 AM
@Skulldust Yeah, I made it to where I can add in bundles of things at anytime I really felt like it.
@Handrawn Yeah, the chain explosions have a small combp system built in, so the more ships captured in a chain of explosions from other ships, the higher the points. I'm going to add to it so that you can see the points you get after an enemy ship explodes, but it might take awhile.
LoserHands commented July 21, 2007 at 9:27 AM
Oh, I see. Transfering the variables after treating the explosion as a variable and then prolly adding that to a global score if there is no other object to add to the chain.

Is that music ripped from GalaxyWarrior?
mathiusman commented July 21, 2007 at 5:39 PM
BTW it is fun :D 8/10
ludamad commented July 22, 2007 at 12:44 AM
I beat it without any weapon upgrades, nice game.
V commented July 22, 2007 at 12:44 AM
@mathius Nope, music's from the RPGmaker2003 RTP. XD It's got some pretty good music tracks, so yeah.
@skull Bullseye.

Game Info
Don't say that. That just ruined your chances of me trying the game.

Why would I want to play a game that doesn't "rock my world".
NeutralReiddHotel commented July 22, 2007 at 3:46 AM
it's ok, doesn't really feel like a arcade game. 8/10
mathiusman commented July 22, 2007 at 1:15 PM
@ludamad: I think you can't even die yet.
@vanhelsing: That's strange, both tracks are in GalaxyWarrior. Hmm...
Crane-ium commented July 22, 2007 at 3:41 PM
It was pretty good, but the waves were too repetitive. The boss also took forever to kill, so add more things to do, with less repetition. The style was good otherwise, so keep up that good work VH. You know if I could, I'd give you an 8.

PS. if you could die, the game would be impossible.
V commented July 23, 2007 at 2:19 AM
@Crane Lol, not necessarily. I beat it with at least 10 HP remaining after killing both bosses and going through all the waves, without any HP upgrades. Gun upgrades though, I had plenty of them. XD
P.S. I'm talking about the new version I will be uploading soon.
Crane-ium commented July 25, 2007 at 3:23 AM
Oh, ok good. I'd like to see the new version. But how could you survive some waves? Once I literally had a few ship thick wall of enemies heading towards me...and when I ran into them I hit at least 10...not including bullets. Hmm, I'll track this just to know when an update comes!

Yeah, stick to working on this instead of owning us all in ST.
