Fractal Cycle Screensaver

This is a screensaver using 8-bit color cycling to take a monotone picture and run it through a palette. By combining this with fractal renders courtesy of DesertFox, this screensaver provides a rather interesting experience.

I specifically coded this to have limited support for proper 8-bit color cycling, in case anyone wants to experiment.

I'm with Aeron, an assortment of images and pallettes could make this into a pretty valid, kick-ass screensaver. On a more absurd end, some sort of live, progressive rendering of a randomized fractal over time could also be pretty neat, too.

As is, it's not bad, and shows off that you got the feature working, though I'm not so sure the image is showing it off the best. Again, a variety of palettes could help perhaps, but as is it tends to be a muddy mess everywhere but the right-hand mass.
