Too long a time without a blog.

I made a game for lowrezjam. The game was called "A Memory of Eternity". It was written in Javascript and used WebGL for graphics. The latter one was a mistake: I later learned that the game was unplayable in most computers. Great, I had programmed a web game that (almost) only works on my computer! I didn't want people to play a buggy unplayable game, so I removed the game from every website where I had put it. Let's pretend that fiasco never repeats...

Now I'm working on another project, naturally. What kind of project? Hard to say, I'm currently making some useful tools. Something 3D, since I have made a command line tool that converts an .obj model to an easily readable binary format, and now I'm working on a simple "heightmap paint" that allows me to paint heightmaps and store them to binary files. I first tried to make a tool that converts an .obj model to a heightmap, but that was not a good idea (mostly because it did not work...)

My goal is to make something better than my previous games. There are too many action-pixel-retro-arcade games already. I would like to remove all my games right now, but then I would have no games, so better make one (or why not two?) good game, so I can remove/hide all my older games. Time to leave that era of my (gamedev) life behind!

I'm also considering doing some non-gamedev related programming. Like another virtual machine (I actually started working on one, but there were some issues so I stopped working on it)

I finished Dragon Quest VIII while ago. It was good, but had pretty minimal story and ended sooner than I had estimated. As a game it was better than DQ VII, but as an experience, DQ VII was better.

West of Loathing is a good game. Everyone should play it. There can never be too many good humor games that occasionally make you laugh aloud.

Overwatch would be a better game if Hanzo+Widow was removed. It's a team game, damn it! And if people would pick up healers and tanks more often (I usually play both, but I don't want to be constantly healing!)

Also, for people who are not in Discord:

(Don't worry, I'm not going to make music, it's just some damn art)

I forgot to share it before.

i really like your art and would be interested in a game featuring that graphical style

Make a mod for West of Loathing that replaces characters with your grotesque Disney abominations from Hell =P

Black-and-white stickmen replaced with black-and-white Goofies? ... Nah, not worth modding, but an external game, hmm...

I think I actually could (and will?) make a(n adventure) game using that graphical style. Animations could be a problem, but maybe a South Park like walking animation could be a solution.
