September Art Jam - September 4th - 13th

Time to motivate you to do some shitty art again.

Rules:
- Make a work of art in the given time frame, September 4th - 13th
- Submit your work by posting it to the comment section
- Everything that can be regarded as art is accepted, although visual arts (paintings, drawings etc.) are more common in these jams
- The theme is: Autumn. It's recommended to follow it.
- No pornographic Goofies or illegal (whatever that means) content, please
- Only original content allowed (so do not post your friends work and claim it was made by you)
- There'll be two prizes (see "Prizes"). The first one will go to my favourite work and the second one will go to the community's favourite (see "Voting")

Voting:
- As stated above, the winner of the other prize will be chosen by the community. There will be a simply voting, either Google Forms or sending a PM to me. Each member have one vote
- The same user can get the both prizes, but that requires a lot of bribes
- Reason? Well, if I choose all the winners, I cannot join the jam by myself! If people vote me to the winner, I'll keep the prize by myself (and give it away later in another jam...)

Some progress.

It should be an autumn themed card game, where every object in the game - trees, NPCs, etc will be added to the player collection as a card when the player will encounter them. The cards will be used to fight and progress, to explore more of the world and find even more things to add to the collection.

Obviously, you won, Nopykon, but 2nd place is a thing, so... Day 2 =]

The collection is almost complete, going to work on actual card combat tomorrow.
Added tooltips, card "claiming", pop-up boxes.

I know that "Malachite Pillar" doesn't scream autumn, but I had little time and I needed few cards with different descriptions to test tooltips.

I'll add "Strange Statue" card, found in a middle of forest =P

Decided that I don't like how the game looks, so today I've been working on graphics.

Day 4 & 5!

I made combat/card battle engine/whatever you call it.
I was never good at terminology =P



(It's a good idea to watch on YouTube, no fullscreen for some reason)

Now I can just keep adding stuff until it's done. Sounds, music, more cards, more fights, more areas, animations. 3 days left, let's see how far I can go.

I'm having a great time making this. Especially because I can do real magic with codes now.
Using tons of scripts, loops, arrays, the code is clean, efficient and bug-free.

Relatively.
I'm still a noob, but... Maybe not for long now =]

Day 6!



Added music, sound effects, more cards, some animations, evil spiky squares as enemies (actually called Runes of Distant Sun), expanded the world a bit, improved combat...

Now I want to improve the collection, adjust numbers in fights because fight 1 takes too long to finish and fight 2 is impossible to beat and... Hmm... I guess I can just keep adding more content.
I might want to add some sort of story. Or just ending.

This is going to be a lovely game, one that I will return to play every once in a while and feel good about it =P

So I'm kind of done with my game!

Uploaded to 64Digits, now waiting for mods to approve it.

It's highly unfinished.
It's playable, but not for very long and it probably is confusing, because there's no tutorial.
