Yea... i think we all know this by now. It's overrun by noobs and crap. Comments are useless and random.. blogs are about the same. The older members are fading away and the site isn't being run properly

So I'm going to be less active than I have been lately. I post a blog for my game.. asking for suggestions.. and i get gay comments hardly related to it.

No offense to the very few of you who actually take this site seriously...

I'm redoing the code for TLOA. The view will no longer be from the top. It will be a side-scrolling rpg.

I'll make a new blog when I actually have something worth showing. How bout a youtube for now?

Yeah it's pretty simple as of now.

Here's tha latest from TLOA, now being made in gm6, since gm7, yoyogames, and softwrap are freakin gay.

This shows the updated fire and experience orbs update. The GUI is also rearranged. I am planning on making a message system at the bottom. No more depth problems!

There is a noticeable depth problem in the lower-left corner :(

Since Gm screwed up on my computer AGAIN, I am probably going to drop it completely. When I open it, it says "Softwrap file Error3" , then "Inconsistent files." I uninstalled and installed. Still doesn't work. I'm kinda glad since GM won't help you out much in a career. I plan on getting into XNA since it is currently free to make games for a 360. From what I've seen of it, it doesn't look too bad.

I am also currently downloading Xubuntu. Is that the best Linux diriv. to download?

We are getting a laptop tomorrow. We bought one refurbished from Dell ( ) that is supposed to be an awesome deal and found a better and cheaper laptop at BestBuy. We had to wait since they are out of stock.

Since I probably won't be working on it anymore, here's a screen from my latest project, Saegloe.

It's made mostly in Flash, and I think it look's pretty nice.

Does anyone here use XNA? I hope it isn't too complicated to learn.

Not so much on the graphics, but here's a quick example I made to show how Saegloe will work with other games I have made/created/produced/programmed. Included is a very simple text only program that has score and money variables and a badge you can get.


There isn't enough for a screenshot.

How to use:

1.)Open simple.exe
2.)Change the variables
3.)Close simple.exe
4.)Open Saegloe.exe
5.)Click the bar graph(stats) button and select 'simple'
6.)View the awesomeness
7.)You can now reopen simple.exe and see the money change (if you made one)

I know it is very simple now but in a few more hours I should have a game to work with it. I'm probably going to use Ice Burst since it is already finished, minus a few bugs.

How can I make it secure so someone can't easily change the values like you can in the example?
